Or this one, by Wooton Bassett out of Found. Stick a tongue tie on it, job’s a good ‘un.

Dubawis go well on tapeta and do ok as older horses don’t they? Maybe Charlie Appleby will find something down the back of the sofa that he’d forgotten about.
February 11, 2026 at 19:37 #1754304Aww Jesus don’t ….my ribs are hurting , I thought Starmer was the most troubled man in the uk however Nicky is running him close ..

February 11, 2026 at 19:43 #1754305A race worth 40k needs a proper name.
How about the “Constitution Hill 2,500 posts on a single TRF thread Novices’ Stakes”?February 11, 2026 at 19:49 #1754307….. We should be cover the best turned out award , I’m sure we can cover the £50 or so …. Obv we can’t give it to the hill , id suggest the rag for optimal pisstaking ….

February 11, 2026 at 20:01 #1754309Green, your Maestro Bernstein has the right profile for such race.
February 11, 2026 at 20:05 #1754310At this rate, Henderson will end up running him in the Kingwell..
February 11, 2026 at 20:13 #1754313CAS were having a laugh but don’t go to ludicrous…
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 11, 2026 at 20:25 #1754316Maestro Bernstein was sold by Coolmore at the Autumn sales for 35,000 gns. Buyer was Northgate Lodge Stud, so not much chance of him turning up at Southwell.
February 11, 2026 at 20:30 #1754318There’s something very apt about Nicky getting a proper shafting here , I bet he’s swigging the gin straight from the bottle tonight …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 11, 2026 at 20:56 #1754320Wasn’t it inevitable this was going to attract interest a novice worth £40k. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is more than Mullins taking a look.
The more I know the less I understand.

February 11, 2026 at 21:22 #1754323I wonder if Mullins would consider Daddy Long Legs. By Almanzor whose progeny have a decent AW strike rate. He’s entered in the Up The Yard charity race at Punchestown on Sunday so is presumably reasonably fit. I assume it’s a prep for another stab at the county but if he’s a good traveller they might be persuaded. This was his only previous start on the Flat-

He started fav and was a well beaten third but was found to be lame. The winner subsequently won the Queen’s Vase and came 2nd in the Great Voltigeur, the runner up won a Flat handicap at the Galway festival. The rest beaten a distance.
February 11, 2026 at 21:30 #1754324Join The Midnight Movement Novice Stakes I believe will be it’s title.
The more I know the less I understand.
February 11, 2026 at 22:22 #1754329Maybe something that has 3 hurdle runs and wants to sit on a mark for the Fred Winter could prep here. Joseph O’Brien has Glen to Glen, who finished only a few lengths behind Delacroix in a maiden.
Gavin Cromwell’s Camelot filly In My Teens is eligible and rated 98 on the Flat. She ran in the hurdle won by Proactif.
Third that day was Jessica Harrington’s Galiway gelding Quinta Do Lago, who ran in the G2 juvenile at Christmas
Theoretically I think St Leger 2nd and 3rd Rahiebb and Stay True are eligible?? Though of course probably mooching about in the field still.
February 11, 2026 at 22:44 #1754330Greenasgrass,
Sorry to keep knocking down your possible runners, but those you’ve mentioned that have run on the flat, would all fall foul of this clause in the conditions that define a ‘novice’ for the flat, because they’ve won a race and had too many runs:
“has not had more than two completed runs, except if it has never previously won a race run under the rules of a Recognised Racing Authority or is a two-year-old and the race is before 1 July;”
So a maiden qualifies even if it’s run a dozen times already, but not a previous winner.
