Ok ladies and gents, put yourselves on the line here. Conduit is to ‘go in all major middle distance races’ next year.
Where can you see Conduit heading and winning?
The King George at Ascot sticks right out for me thus far.
September 14, 2008 at 19:19 #180960Id say he could be ideal for Sir Michael to get his 2nd Champion Hurdle.
Flat wise it would probably be the Coronation Cup or maybe a Melbourne Cup depending if he goes the mddle distance or staying pattern.
September 14, 2008 at 19:57 #180970A good shout Neil certainly with regard the Champion Hurdle for me well worth looking at and as Daniel has said too all the top 1 1/2 milers next year as well, dare i suggest the Irish Leger as that is all aged.
Cheers.
Adrian.
September 14, 2008 at 21:55 #181010Agree with all of that and are we not forgetting races like the Yorkshire Cup, Lonsdale Stakes and abroad races like the Grand Prix de Deauville and that Group 1 mile and half race at Cologne whose name I cannot remember (the one papal Bull was placed in).
I am sure Sir Michael needs no telling from any of us and look forward to seeing more from Conduit next season. Could be very exciting to follow.
September 15, 2008 at 10:14 #181056Would that be the Rheinland-Pokal der Sparkasse KolnBonn ["The Cologne-Bonn Bank Palatine Cup" auf Englisch
], Bob? Not a bad call – Conduit has shown a fair degree of versatility regarding course topography and orientation, so Cologne’s galloping right-hand circuit ought not hold any particular terrors.gc
