August 24, 2010 at 12:28 #314491Thanks for posting the interesting photos.
I wish you every success with himAugust 24, 2010 at 12:55 #314494Great news, Angrovestud. I’m sure his biggest test to date will come when you try harnessing him to the milk cart but he looks fairly strong to my unsophisticated eyes. Two pints of silver top, please.
Sorry, just pulling your leg. Have you been able to syndicate him yet please and/or will he be running in your colours, which are?
Cheers
KAugust 24, 2010 at 13:08 #314496Excellent photos – thanks very much for posting them.
August 24, 2010 at 13:39 #314500we have around 10 people for the syndictate still need more! and we are racing in white and brown just filling the forms in now racing partnerships and paperwork lots to learn! he dosent seem at all fazed by the milk cart he does that before he goes for a quick spin!lol
August 24, 2010 at 15:50 #314517Can’t beat having a dual purpose horse imo.
August 24, 2010 at 16:03 #314519Hope you don’t mind me asking but how much is the syndicate and can anyone join??
August 24, 2010 at 16:10 #314521Just a suggestion, but if he was mine and I wanted to attract a fan club for him I’d be inclined to run him somewhere that was holding a family raceday meeting. I can just imagine how much he’d appeal to the youngsters.

We are trying to attract 50 people to join our syndictate which open it up much more to many people and the cost is £35 per month by DD no extras Rummy will be on a free lease for to the syndicate. I dont mind at all please ask as many questions as you want.
Anyone can join please spread the word!
Oh I really like the idea of family race days yes I think he would be great for younger people and children thanks

August 26, 2010 at 15:55 #314722Sorry to sidetrack your thread Angrovestud but can someone please point me in the right direction for finding out how I can insert photos on TRF please?
I recall Cormack giving advice some time ago but I can’t find his post. The picture I have in mind is currently size 453 x 604 and in either bitmap or jpeg image format.
Thanks
KenAugust 26, 2010 at 16:10 #314726Hi Ken
you will need a photobucket account where you upload your photo to then go to edit and resize and choose medium and then save ad replace the orginal then you want the IMG code from the photo when you scroll over the image with your curser it it show up its the bottom one highlight it and press copy then have this site open with where you want to place the image and press paste. bingo your photo should be there. best of luck!August 26, 2010 at 16:15 #314727Thanks Angrovestud. Very helpful. I’ll get working on it as per your advice.

Excellent, always loved coloureds they compete at just about everything else bar racing so lets hope this comes off. I do remember being at Towcester one day and there was a coloured ran in the bumper, ran well too without winning.
There have been some good eventers that were coloureds, Lorna Clarke (nee Sutherland) was 8th at Badminton on Popadom a fine Skewbald in the late 60s and I think won a team gold at the world championships at Punchestown about 40 years ago. There are all sorts of coloured cobs in the show ring, but thye don’t seem as popular among the top show jumpers. Three of my four trips round Langholm Common Riding were Skewbalds. They are usually tough and sound so very good luck with that.
August 26, 2010 at 19:34 #314757Love the idea of brown and white silks. We’ll not know where the jockey ends and the horse begins. I can just imagine the commentary "…and we have a riderless horse bringing up the rear."

August 27, 2010 at 10:58 #314819Spot on. Great reply, Angrovestud. Loyalty and ambition…fine attributes for an owner. May the force be with you.
Next time you give him an apple, tell him that when it comes to his first race he’ll not only be carrying a jockey but also the hopes and good wishes of many TRF’ers. You might also wish to mention that many of us will be investing our life savings on him making a winning debut. No pressure. - AuthorPosts
