GW77 –
Trouble is, you come across as a bit of a tw@ a lot of the time
No problem Monksfield, the forum is based on debate, some of us have the ability to create that, others unfortunately can only "tag along" Like
i say there"s nothing worse than a Smart ass that cant back it up!March 16, 2009 at 04:16 #216717AnonymousInactive- Total Posts 17716
I just wish you had the ability to read back, process and understand the nonsense that makes up your last three posts, GWILSON77.
So how old are you, or do I take it that the ’77’ in your username makes you 31-32? I suppose it could be your actual age, in which case I can presume you’ve simply lost your marbles and your mindless, pointless and frankly ridiculous ‘contributions’ can therefore be explained.
I think you’ll find that there’s a distinct difference between offering a thoughtful, reasoned and insightful opinion, and approaching a debate in the (apparently delusional) belief that you know everything. Condescending egotist may be a little on the strong side, but I’m sure you know how to put it far more succinctly.
And far from self defence, the undertone to your most recent posts is quite evident. It might just be time to evaluate your attitude.
March 16, 2009 at 10:41 #216726FIST,you have this school bully attitude running through your posts and
little EQUITRACK is the sort who brings you a bag of American Hard gums
to class every day, but always hides behind you when it kicks off! Look at
me as the EQUALISER! i hate those mouthy sorts that cant back it up!
"Foot, fist, way of life"!Oh! The art of fighting without fighting.
Equi is over 6ft and in his 20’s mate. He has just past his grading for his 3rd Dan in guttersnipe karate. Why would he hide behind me??
What a pile of shyte you talk.
Now get back to next years Gold Cup and lets see if you can do a bit better this year.
Incidentally Binocular was part of a 3-pronged main bets attack I made on Cheltenham.
The fact he was placed and the other 2 Master Minded 6/4 and Kauto 7’s and 5’s both won. So I had a brilliant Cheltenham for the 3rd year running.
Sure Binocular was a bit of a let down but I can afford to take it on the chin and say well done Punjabi, as I’m not stupid enough to put all my eggs in one basket when it comes to the toghest meeting of the year.
The fact remains I spotted Binocular the first time he set foot on a race course as a CH horse. The fact is I backed him at huge odds and won a pretty penny doing so. That fact is your out of order
Let’s see you come up with a prediction like that Mr Equaliser then you can start slagging anyone you like.
But until then I think it’s only fair you call me Sensie or Sifu and show some repsect.
Now go sit in the chair in the corner and if you’re a bad boy again I will get equi to plug it in
Equaliser equalise that you

Just wait ’til he finds out that, rather than Mr Miyagi’s nemesis, I’m actually Danny De Vito’s long lost twin
(I’m not, by the way)
March 16, 2009 at 23:01 #216854Boys, you pair are painting a picture of a comedy double act! The two Ronnies springs to mind, this thread has made me laugh more than any
other i have read but its beginning to get silly! For the record i too am 6ft
14.5 stone and have studied the art of Tae Kwon do for the past 15yrs, all
my gradings have been under 9th dan"Grand Master Rhee", who was actually taught himself by the inventor of this art "General Choi hong hi" I am very fortunate to have been a student of the UKTA which has a direct historical link to the founder himself through the WTF. Trust me when i say we fear No other art, i respect all who are willing to learn though!
Enough said! Now next years Gold cup winner, i do like the look of Calgary bay!!March 17, 2009 at 18:49 #217015Yup and I am Bruce Lee
I know a little bit about martial arts Mr. Wilson and was wondering if you, being an expert, could help me..
Big lad like yoou must have done a fair bit of teaching/sparring/fighting etc
Could you tell me which part/s of the body is/are best to keep an eye on to defend against intermediary fighting movements
Don’t take too long to answer, wouldn’t like to think you would have to look up the internet to answer a simple question like that.
Just one thing more can I have the answer in Japanese?
March 18, 2009 at 00:14 #217073BRAVE OF YOU, bad guy, where"s your right hand man tonight? i like the double act you 2 muppets put on! In fact you could be "Dumber and Dumber"! Just to appease your little sparring with handbags question i will
answer in Korean as Tae Kwon do (foot, fist, way of life) has no relation to
japan! "an palmok makgi" would suffice but how would you deal with a "sonkal taerigi bandel yap jagi" big boy?March 18, 2009 at 00:28 #217082This is getting ridiculous, can you please keep discussion on this thread to the Champion Hurdle, or thereabouts and save the Karate Kid vs Fister Miyagi debates for PMs or the general sports section. No offence dudes, cowabaunga..
March 18, 2009 at 02:15 #217118Wipe on.
Wipe off.

You are a hoot GW The best way to detect hidden/intermediate moves is with a knife hand block??? what a crock of shyte
Never seen a knife hand block with eyes before.
The correct answer is to watch for movement of the pulling hand and/or pelvic area. Most stduents of 15 years experience you would have answered that immdediately.
Seems all you know is Knife hand as now you want to hit me with one plus some mumbo jumbo that makes no sense unless you are talking about Bandal which is a kick and not Bandel which has no meaning in Korean, japanese or any other MA that I am aware off. Perhaps you mean Bandal Chagi.
Now drop it and keep to racing which your bad enough at without taking me on with your limited knowledge of MA
BTW I woul be intersted to know what the sectional times were for this years CH and how they compare to the last couple of years if anyone has them
March 18, 2009 at 14:07 #217158Quite an amazing thread.
From Binocular to Hong Kong Fouey in three short steps.
Only a matter of time before someone "chops" in with " my dad’s bigger than your dad."
Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
March 18, 2009 at 17:29 #217185a direct historical link to the founder himself through the WTF.
There is certainly a strong element of "WTF?!?" about this thread, yes.

Adoptive father of two. The patron saint of lower-grade fare. A gently critical friend of point-to-pointing. Kindness is a political act.
March 18, 2009 at 17:34 #217187My guess is if Alan King starts effing the horse about running him over 3 miles he’ll end up with another MWDS on his hands.
I think that would only hold true if My Way De Solzen is definitely mentally shot – for my money (and at least two other Forumites with whom I’ve discussed the matter), the gelding seems to be suffering from some deep-rooted physical ailment. Maybe, given how long a horse he is, his spine is giving him a degree of gyp?
Katchit seems worth a try at an easy 2m4f now, at the very least, and we can all see how he goes from there. Better that, perhaps, than a move to chasing, unless he can defy his lack of size in that sphere.

March 18, 2009 at 18:24 #217199As admirable a horse as Katchit is, I don’t think he’ll ever make a chaser.
If he was mine, I’d rough him off for the season and freshen him up for next year. To my eyes he looks to have lost some of his enthusiasm for the game. A few months out in a field could do wonders for him.

I still say he has a few high class 2 milers in him and maybe even another CH. Alan King claimed he was off the boil all season. He said only a week or two before the race he was beginning to show his old sparkle. All season he has been saying the horse wasn’t himself. Now he is saying he was outpaced here there and everwhere. At least someone on here connected to the yard is.
What do they expect of the horse wasn’t right? of course he would get outpaced and if he wasn’t 110% right at Cheltenham, you can bet your life, he would get outpaced.
As far as you and your friends coming to the conclusion that MWDS has some kind of ailment is concerned I have my doubts.
A spinal injury would show up on the gallops at home but acorrding to Alan King he was in great form before the WH 2008 but still quit when it mattered. A good jockey would report back if he felt the horse had something physically wrong. Even a good work rider can tell you but occasionally some problems don’t come to the fore until the horse is all out in a race. Again there were no reports to back that threory up.
MWDS never looked to recover from his Arkle win. He showed no interest in racing when beaten twice by KS. He was reportedly in great shape for both races. He then chucked it IMO for everyone to see and was looking for the stables when beaten by Lough Derg. The excuses from his fans were flying in: too fast a pace etc which I thought was nonsense at the time
He was going better than most in the WH 2008 and as soon as asked he hung like a pig and chucked it again and at Aintree he more or less refused to get involved.
I said after a Haydock I thought he was an old fox and should have been sent chasing foxes for a while to try and sweeten him up. They persevered by racing him and got nowhere. It would appear they are back at square 1 as he ran another stinker back in Dec.
Aintree 2mf for Katchit? Why not! but a trip to the World Hurdle against horses like Big Bucks is a waste of a good horse IMO
March 18, 2009 at 21:45 #217219My Way De Solzen has always needed a race to get him fit. Remembering the John Smiths’ Hurdle of a few seasons ago, he cruised through it like the best horse but blew up badly between the final two flights, with Redemption gifted the race.
MWDS wasn’t knocked about on that occasion though. On his return in the Betfair Chase, he was given far less gentle handling. Kauto Star put it up to him from a long way out and triggered an earlier blow-up, after which he wasn’t allowed to coast in.
It looks like he remembers that experience.
