I’m hoping that Mountain Road can sneak in here, as I think that he’s a very fair price at 16-1

Rajinsky is the win bet here at 10-1, and I fancy Reshoun to outrun his odds here, so that’s the ew bet to 6plcs

Mike – where did you get your bog? I’m still reeling from the bet365 withdrawal

Not a race I’m particularly fond of but worth a go all the same. Zoffee, drawn 3, ran a good 4th in the Cesarewitch when last seen, Ebor festival effort before that was also encouraging. Ground unknown, Hugo thinks he’ll go on it.

Would be very very keen on metier if he wasn’t in stall 14

Going to back him anyway but the draw dampens the enthusiasm somewhat

Xabi- only places i believe BOG exists now are lads/coral/boyles…..

If he’s anyway successful, he’ll be on about his 50th acct with each by now, as all 3 limit you fast, and to literally pennies. Boyles require you phone your bets through to get on also.

Thanks Jack. All 3 have closed my accounts years ago!

Cowards? Short-sighted? Lazy? Give me time and I could think of a few more.

My pennies are on Call my bluff tomorrow.

Hoping for a bit of sun and a cold beer!

Xabisfeet I have a couple of questions

What is your username all about? I’m assuming you’re not the feet of ex footballer Xabi Alonso?

The second question, it says you registered 23 years ago but have only made 6 posts, around half of which were today, so where have you been all this time?!

I’m just being a nosy so and so to be honest.

Hello Ben, yes, a big fan of Xabi A! Was at Anfield for his home debut and hadn’t seen anything like it.

6 posts in 23 years – not a great ratio :negative:

This week will be the first time I’ve been to all 3 days of Chester’s May meeting and I’ve really enjoyed it.

Here’s to upping that ratio :good:

The Spanish players of that era were something else weren’t they, that midfield was potentially the greatest midfield ever.

Glad you’ve been enjoying the Chester meeting! Despite the difficulty I find in picking winners there, I can’t help but love the charming quirkiness of the track.

To be honest I’m impressed you remembered your username/password having registered such a time ago! Best of luck with Call My Bluff tomorrow mate.

Think I have a similar ratio on the Betfair forum – I only go on there to complain about bookie restrictions!

Think the influence of that Spanish generation is still being felt now.

Moving to Chester and being within walking distance of the Roodee was a big factor in falling for horse racing. The Open Course is a great venue for a picturesque, family friendly day out with lots of food, drink and great sport

Xabi Alonso wasn’t at Liverpool 23 years ago.
I don’t think the registration on all profiles is correct, mine is wrong. I joined in 2008 about two weeks before my mum passed away.

Nathan I think you’re right about the registration dates, almost everyone I’ve looked at appears to have joined 23 years ago lol. I always just assumed this forum used to have a different name (which all members here must have registered to prior to being on TRF), then 23 years ago the old forum/website became TRF and thus everyone became a member here on the same date.

I really do have a tendency to overthink things in all walks of life lol.

I wasn’t even online 23 years ago.. One of the first places I visited was TRF and thought this will do

Before that Horseracing chat was on teletext, channel 4 I think? I never wrote in but TAPK use to post on there now and again.
