Although Copperhead looks a big price at 10’s, over this trip it may be a prep for Sandown, so the pair I’m looking at are Seddon & Torn and Frayed
Torn and Frayed looks solid place material, and I’ll see what price he is on the day, but although he may be on the downgrade, I’ve had an early bet on Seddon. He’s let me down on the couple of occasions I’ve bet him, but thought him worth a small interest just now at that price
Seddon 33’s EW
December 9, 2025 at 11:49 #1747071I like this field, and I’m going with Torn and Frayed as my ap bet at 10-1. The 8-1 also appeals on Minella Drama, and he will be the main bet should he make the line up
December 10, 2025 at 18:28 #1747170A very tricky race this, and I should leave it well alone, but Le Milos 9-1 for me. Can’t help thinking that I’m wasting my dough and that he’ll win later in season

December 12, 2025 at 09:18 #1747321Copperhead 14-1.
The more I know the less I understand.
December 12, 2025 at 11:33 #1747327Copperhead and Le Milos will have Sandown in the headlights and I fancy them both for that, so I’ll leave them be here.
I missed out on Eldorado Allen last time and I’m not jumping out of my seat to back him at his current price, but he’s an old friend and I’ll kick myself if I miss out on him again.
I’m also a big Fugitif fan, but I can never catch him right.
Not a very imaginative pair of selections, but it’s a tricky enough race.

December 12, 2025 at 14:30 #1747341Denise got her Bet Boost spot on there. Writing was on the wall before the race for Eldorado!
December 12, 2025 at 14:41 #1747343I am not usually someone who gets upset about the whip. And I recognise the modern pro-cush is not like the whip of earlier times.
However, the sight of Freddie Gingell administering two cracks of the whip to the veteran Copperhead, clearly going backwards and with nothing left to give, is to my mind far worse misuse of the whip than a jockey going one over the limit on a horse in with a chance and clearly responding.
If he had ridden the horse home via hands and heels and let him come home in his own time, how many people would have shouted at him “why didn’t you hit him a few times”?
