I know a few are keen on this little competition so here is the CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL ANTE POST CHALLENGE.
Pricewise has not said anything yet about his selections for the festival, but it was on the 14th January last year he started his festival selections, which means the still a week to go in my books.
1 Anyone is welcome, just make your entries down below. But beware that everyone is starts on a level playing field so the more races you pick from the better.
2 Each race will have approximately a 2 weeks period (when opened, although early entries are allowed)for you to make your choice.
3 In this period you can make 1 or 2 selections, they don’t have to be made together so long as they are made somewhere in this period. When the period closes I will announce it and any selections for the race made afterwards will be void.
4 If you do have a second selection it must be a different choice to the first one, similar if you change your mind. (Please don’t try and take unfair advantage by getting a better price on bets already placed). However if a different choice to what be made before, I will allow it. Similarly if I will use your post time to check the odds you want to those offered by Oddschecker.)
5 I will allow substitutes but you must make it clear, otherwise I will count it a second choice. If you have 2 selections already then make clear which one you’re substituting otherwise I will swap it for the first choice.
6 All choices are proper Ante Post rules meaning they count whether they run or not, the only exception are if you Mark your entry Non Runner No Bet, or words meaning the same. If you do NRNB terms then it must be from a bookmaker offering them terms on Odds checker (because them prices are usually poorer than the others). If you don’t put any special terms, but I find your selection with the same price, but on better terms I will upgrade your bet. Similar if you’re unaware of a better odds being offered by another bookmaker.
7 If you put down the same choice as Pricewise (on same terms) before him, but his price is better than yours, I will adjust your price to meet his.
8 Each Way bets are quarter the odds for first three, again if bookmakers do an extra place for that race I will allow it if shown on Odds checkers and it’s made clear and you use their price.
9 If you do have 2 selections then you can mix or match whether they are win or EW.
1 selection will be 4 points win or 2 points EW
2 selections will be 2 points win or 1 point EWI will make the staking adjustments so you only need to put down win or EW on your choice.
However if you don’t I will assume you mean win.
If you forget on your initial post to mark your bet as win or EW you can put down these terms before the period for this race closes. The bookmakers being used in this competition are :
