Hunters My Flora 14/1 2 ptsMarch 6, 2012 at 19:02 #395050Have got 21.5 pts of losing ante-post vouchers so far. Decided to look into what my current bets are worth to see if ante-post betting was worth it.
Have checked the vast majority of bets – some of them are EW accas that it’s not worth checking, some of them don’t have markets open anymore to check their worth. 257.4 pts staked, at the current prices would have to stake 709.6 pts.
So yes, it was worth it

Went through everything in more detail & precision.
50pts of bets are uncheckable / pointless checking, either down to markets being closed or being huge EW accas.
I’ve also now checked every single bet that involves a Festival runner in my portfolio.
212.2 pts staked
Now worth 546 ptsOne of the bets that can’t be checked is worth considerably more now than when placed, but can’t get a price for the 3rd part of the treble so impossible to check.
If I calculate the returns using the prices available and the price at the time, I staked 10pts and it’s now worth 28.3pts.

March 9, 2012 at 17:11 #395562Well Unaccompanied won’t be running unless Quevega doesn’t. Our Girl Salley’s also weak.

Like the look of most of these wilson, have a few accumalators running involving Sprinter, Quevega, HF and BB, lets hope it’s a year for faves! Sometimes it pays to look no further than the obvious. Can see the bookies taking a real pounding….famous last words…
March 9, 2012 at 20:59 #395601Cheers mate. Fairly unoriginal selections tbh but there are some races where i dont see the point in looking for alternatives and i’m not an e/w gambler so…
They’ll be carrying me out of the course if the three jollies come in.

March 9, 2012 at 21:07 #395602Well Unaccompanied won’t be running unless Quevega doesn’t. Our Girl Salley’s also weak.
Although i dont think she’d beat the Mullins mare in this race imagine how gutted i was with the surprise inclusion into the betting a few days ago.
Noticed Sally’s drift and after being there and backing Quevega three years running – i’ll be so heavily involved come post time my bank manager will probably tag along.
Cant ever remember a shorter priced fav at the festival – pop quiz, anybody like to enlighten me ?

March 9, 2012 at 21:19 #395604Well 1/2 with Paddy Power for Quevega to return the lowest SP of the week is printing money I’d have thought.
March 9, 2012 at 21:24 #395606I’m pretty sure Himself was 1/10 for one of his Gold Cups.
March 14, 2012 at 21:01 #396758WOW!!!! What a day
Got my 7/1 Sprinter Sacre 8/1 Bobs Worth double up and my permed 6 timer has 3 out of 3 so far Sprinter 5/2 Bobs Worth 8/1 and Finians Rainbow 7/1, my £16 stake would cost over £1000 to fund the last 3 legs, have had a saver on Captain Chris for Ryanair £70 @ 14/1

Grands Crus RSA
Sprinter Sacre Arkle
Grandouet Champion HurdleDarlan would have made it even better, but so far, irrespective of last two days, in profit, mainly thanks to a Sprinter Sacre/Bobs Worth double back in October. Grumeti, Sea of Thunder, Boston Bob, Sir Des Champs and Medermit can still make things even better.

Three handed in the Albert Bartlett with Mount Belbuben, Boston Bob and Sea of Thunder. Thought Get Me Out of Here was going to take it going into the last.
