KOTKIKOVA 14/1 Mares Hurdle
She looks a really interesting 5 year old that has been impressive over hurdles In France
winning 11 of her 14 starts. Other than a fall when 2/5, she’s unbeaten in 9 runs over the
last 2 years. She was bought in May by JP McManus and will be trained by Nicky Henderson.
Hard to know how good she is, but she looks an exciting prospect. The first 3 in the market
all have alternative entries. I’d be surprised if Apple’s Jade doesn’t go for the Champion
Hurdle, probably Annie Power too according to Willie Mullins….which means she’ll head for
the World Hurdle. I’m not sure where where Vroum Vroum Mag goes, she has options, but if
2, maybe all 3, miss this then Kotkikova will most certainly be single figures if her French
form translates to the UK. She could, as they say, be anything and I’ve stuck her in my 10 to
follow in case she is. It’s speculative at this time, but might be worth a punt.October 26, 2016 at 00:36 #1268656I seen her in your Ten To Follow Graham, and I think it’s a very shrewd pick, I think she’ll bag you a few points
October 26, 2016 at 00:41 #1268657Nath, I was very surprised when Footpad was missing from the stable tour on ATR, as I think he’ll turn out to be very good. He was in my early shortlist for the Ten To Follow, but just a bit worried that there’s no mention of him so far. Is he possibly being kept for the big French pots?

I hope so Bobby. I was looking around for something of value outside of the usual suspects,
she looks an exciting prospect. I hope JP has bagged a future starOctober 26, 2016 at 00:55 #1268660Hopefully she’ll make up for the omission of Traffic Fluide
October 26, 2016 at 01:19 #1268664Aarghhh….thanks for reminding me
I hope you’re right Bobby and she comes to my rescue, sometimes
things happen for a reason……or say they sayOctober 26, 2016 at 15:08 #1268704Hi, nice site, and will try to contribute the best that I can.
Things did not go too well for me Antepost last year and I was one of those who was not very good at second guessing Mullins.
I am keeping a wide berth from his just now, but I will take a chance with Yorkhill for the hurdles at the festival. Iam going to put in a ten to follow and I think I like Yorkhill enough to make him the star horse.
October 26, 2016 at 15:14 #1268707Welcome Autumnal……..and good luck if you’re doing the Ten To Follow
October 26, 2016 at 15:18 #1268710Thank you,
October 26, 2016 at 17:45 #1268738Great first post Autumnal – i love Yorkhill, absolutely love him. 12/1 Champion Hurdle – get on!
October 26, 2016 at 20:31 #1268777Thank you Charlie, I have bet him at up to 20’s for The Champion and bigger odds for The World Hurdle. I would favour The Champion for him just now, but Mullins has so many for that that they might decide to step him up in trip, and I think he is better than Nicols Canyon and it looks like chasing for Bellshill. It is a total guessing game hence just stick with the one horse I like the most from the yard and leave the rest of them alone till the day when there is no confusion over who goes where. I just hope now that he doesn’t see a fence.
November 1, 2016 at 13:16 #1269954I thought L’il Rockerfeller ran a cracking race giving weight all round on his return on Saturday. The only quote I could find for the World Hurdle was Bet365’s @25s. I tweeted PP for a quote and they’ve put him in @33s; had to have a little dabble.
November 2, 2016 at 17:27 #1270213I found it interesting learning that JP has been on a shopping spree with the Coolmore team this week.
The horses are to be trained by AOB Junior.
I backed Unicorn E/W first time out in the Melrose at York this year at a good price and he ran a great race after being well backed.
Also had a bet on the day for him E/W for the Irish St. Ledger at a crazy price, but he was declared a N/R.
I was hoping to catch him at some point on the flat but looks like that’s not meant to be now.
Interesting to see he has been put in the Triumph betting @ 33’s so have had a small wager for him to win and will be topping up along the way.

Beat by vautour last year who unfortunately has just passed away.
Sweet travelling horse who deserves to head towards the gold cup Imo and he May well go down that route.
but if heads this way he would have a leading chance and I have t9 take a punt at that priceNovember 6, 2016 at 19:12 #1271098*** valseur lido.

25s is ridiculous. I imagined he’d be 11/2, 6/1, 7/1 ish
