The Thursday is my least favourite of the meeting.
If Finian’s Oscar had run and won the Neptune I would have had a fair ante-post amount running onto Uknowhatimeanharry today and then hopefully bigger still on Death Duty in the Albert Bartlett. Neon Wolf was beaten, so who can say if Finian’s Oscar might have stuffed the 1-2 yesterday?
I’ll leave the Stayers race but expect Harry to do the business.
My bet today is in the Brown Advisory Plate, where I have done Baron Alco e/w 1/5 the odds 1-2-3-4-5-6 places. The Moore horse is a promising enough 6yo and at 14/1 I’ll be disappointed if he can’t be in the first half dozen home.
His two second places look good efforts with Top Notch and Whisper both going on to be runners up in the JLT and RSA respectively. I like his profile.

He has a good jockey on board and the stable have had a nice week. This is his first time in a handicap and he seems good enough value each-way at 16/1 with five places up for grabs.
