February 21, 2008 at 08:12 #145226Well that settles that then as I pointed out in the national thread John may have been coming round to the idea of running him in the National this year, but it was extremely doubtful as he seldom changes his mind about thing like that.
I think he will be relieved in a sense that he doesn’t have to make the decision and he can go back to plan A and wait until next year.

Without Character Building (who stood out a bit to my mind) the National now looks a real riddle this year.
February 21, 2008 at 17:16 #145337I’m still trying to fathom out the Irish horses – glad Character Building will be ok for next year though, one of my favourites even though he was the only horse I backed to win and not ew at Cheltenham last year…..think 9 will be a better age for him to tackle the National anyway, so it may be for the best.
