Great photos Paul! I also love the one with the two brothers. I was just watching the replay on the BBC and there is lovely footage of the two of them cantering back to the winners enclosure after the race and they actually look like they are chatting to each other:

BT: Well done bro. You did it again pal!!!
Frankel: Cheers bruv. Bit tougher than usual that though and I almost buggered it up at the start.
BT: Yeah I was wondering where you were! Poor old Ian was crappin it!
Frankel: I was in another world.
BT: Thinking about all those mares I suspect!?
Frankel: You got that right big brother! Hey listen mate I am not sure if I have ever really said ta for all your help. You are the wind beneath my wings you know!
BT: It’s been a pleasure little bro. We made quite a team hey?
Frankel: We did indeed my friend. We did indeed!

"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"

I agree it was good watching them come back but I was also wishing bruv would bugger off because he was between me and Frankel and I thought I wouldn’t get a decent shot.

It was amazing Ricky. He was applauded into the parade ring, applauded onto the course, applauded to post and roared home.

It was one of those rare meetings where you had the impression everyone was there to see the racing.

After the race people were running to get a vantage point just to see him.

What I really liked was both the runner-up and third were cheered back afterwards as people appreciated their performances also.

I know and appreciate I was very privileged to be there. I thought nothing would beat Longchamp the day Sea The Stars won his Arc but this did. Days like yesterday more than compensate for the wet winter Monday afternoons at some bleak racecourse.

Great pics Paul – what a fantastic day it was.

All – Here’s a link to TRF’s Facebook page where I have an album of the best of the pics I took yesterday. (Hope the link works, let me know if not).

    Sir Henry

Frankel in the pre-parade – he looked fantastic, as ever. But that said so did Nathaniel and Pastorius.

    He’s going to do it….!
