Then wtf are you doing starting up a thread entitled<br>" Champion Hurdle…Tissue"?:o
I can name any thread (within forum rules) i start what i like – OK
January 30, 2007 at 00:26 #27625Lol
January 30, 2007 at 01:03 #27626Hmmm is a misleading thread though. FWIW I will do the honours then though it is impossible to be completely neutral:
Brave Inca 10/3<br>Hardy Eustace 7/2<br>Detroit City 4/1<br>Macs Joy 7/1<br>Harchibald 12/1<br>Afsoun 20/1<br>Straw Bear 20/1<br>Asian Maze 25/1<br>Iktitaf 25/1
Hope that adds up to 100% and i haven’t got confused LOL.
January 30, 2007 at 01:26 #27627Yes FSL it is misleading, but my thread to title as a see fit and i do not need people like reet hard telling me what i should put in the title or in the thread
I could name every thread FWIW, would it matter what the content was?<br>

January 30, 2007 at 01:37 #27628Quote: from FlatSeasonLover on 10:58 pm on Jan. 29, 2007[br]Okay EW make a tissue then to 100% that you would price the race up at<br>
<br>No, as i’ve already tried to explain, there is no point as the tissue with prices has no relevance to the CH imo, it would be only relevant as an Ante Post CH tissue and seeing i do not bet Ante Post what would be the point of me compiling one?
January 30, 2007 at 01:38 #27629No offense, but i cannot believe I have to answer this.
If I named a thread "Kauto Star is a Monster" and then proceeded to look at the main protaganists for the 2000 Guineas then you might be a little bit irritated as the thread title is wrong, and people who are actually interested in the 2000 Guineas won’t read it.
If all your threads were wrongly named then you would be increasingly likely to get negative responses, if any at all. You may also get less views though that is debatable. Point is though it would of been better to put "Champion Hurdle ratings/ rankings".
I have neither the knowledge nor the inclination to lecture you and tell you what to do as you have more racing experience than me and over 2500 posts I believe. However, you have to admit the thread is misleading and that will not do TRF any favours in the long run if you do it on a regular basis. Not that you will of course, and i have done a tissue for you so there is no problem any more. Just for future reference you may take it into consideration though EW?
January 30, 2007 at 01:51 #27630I do not care if i do not get a single response, people will comment if they want to, if they want to be pedantic then let em, i don’t give two fecks tbh
I can think of better things to comment on than someones thread title not being aligned with it’s content, spelling, gramma or whatever
<br>Anyway, i have enough of reet hard and his sniping at me
I would just like to thank all those who contributed to the threads i started when first joining TRF, and i would like to thank in particular Prufrock, EC and Ian Davies for thier help
BTW, best thing, was how to compile a tissue, cheers to those guys who contributed
<br>Goodbye all<br>

January 30, 2007 at 01:58 #27631Oh come on Empty Wallet, you and I both know you aint one to be told what to do and bullied off here by someone. EC was bullied off here (sorry but its the truth) and I don’t want to see the same happen to you. Reet Hard isn’t a bully I don’t think but he did have a valid point. If you don’t like him then don’t read his posts but to let a couple of negative comments he made scare you off here is madness. That isn’t you Empty Wallet. I for one appreciate your contributions and would be sad to see you leave.
Whatever you say you don’t want to leave the forum and Reet Hard doesn’t want you to leave. So the only thing making you want to leave is…. ? your pride? C’mon mate don’t do an EC on us.
February 5, 2007 at 12:37 #27632I see Detroit City’s price is unchanged for the CH, lay of the festival IMO.

February 5, 2007 at 12:49 #27633Is he a bigger lay than that unproven bad jumper that heads the Gold Cup betting?
February 5, 2007 at 13:07 #27634DJ,
I have never suggested that KS does not have the talent to win the GC, he most definitely does. I take issue with the fact you were labelling him as the best staying chaser in training and the best chaser seen in 20 years.
I still think his jumping is not great, as displayed in the KG, if he does that at cheltenham, he will surely fall.
As for DC, I don’t even think he will be place in the CH.

February 5, 2007 at 13:19 #27635I can see no reason why his price should have changed either way after Saturday
I havent backed him for CH but have not seen any piece of form or element of performance that would make me happy to lay him.
thought (except for the last) he hurdled a lot better on saturday too
February 5, 2007 at 14:14 #27636There has been some reference to slightly negative trainer comments about Brave Inca at the weekend and the price has drifted a bit more (now nearly 6/1 exchanges)
anyone know more?
February 5, 2007 at 18:34 #27637a race that saw a lazy horse doing only what he had to will not dissuade his supporters.
or a race where the champion hurdle favourite once more does not display the kind of ability that will be required to win a champion.
You can take your pick on the above but the major firms have heavy enough liabilities on him already so I doubt they were ever going to go pushing his price out

February 5, 2007 at 19:03 #27638do you think the fact Detroit City is grey has influenced its price in any way?
February 5, 2007 at 21:44 #27639Approaching the last it looked all London to a Brick that Straw Bear was going to make a race of it. DC pitched on his nose but still won going away with something in hand IMO. Take you pick as to whether thats a champion or not but on all the top ratings ( Timeform, raceform etc) he has only 3lbs to find on Hardy Eustace and Brave Inca and I note timeform have now moved him from a + to a P!
February 6, 2007 at 17:35 #27640That’s a "p" as opposed to a "P" I take it Galejade? ;)
