Thought that was impressive; Sharjah is a reliable yardstick. Adds another contender to the mix.

Willie sounded disappointed with Sharjah when interviewed just now. Not sure he gave his running.

State Man would not be as short as 6-1 if he were trained by anybody else.

“does Honeysuckle def come here or would they go back to the mares race”

She comes here unless she has regressed. HDB has said its refreshing for the race to have Constitution Hill on the scene. And Honeysuckle has a chance of history herself, winning 3 Champion Hurdles. And CH may run under par on the day too, one can never know for certain, though of course we would want both to run to their best.

“we would want both to run to their best.”

I want a walkover for “The Hill” tbh.

Something can take him on in 2024 when I won’t be on him ante-post – because even Chezza doesn’t bet ante-post at 1/5.

Sad to see Honeysuckle lose her unbeaten record before Cheltenham. Hopefully she took a blow late on and will come on for it.

If ever a horse had only to stay fit and well and show up on the day to a collect….

Even someone like me who is so firmly in the Constitution Hill fan club was bit sad to see Honeysuckle get turned over today. But sometimes mares have just had enough.

Maybe she will bounce back but that looks like a long shot. And even if she did win at Leopardstown, she will have to do something incredible to worry the Henderson team.

Listening to the owner id say it’s 50/50 on whether they go on

Kenny Alexander: “I do want to get her out safe and sound because she deserves that.”

Rachael Blackmore: “Who knows, maybe time has caught up.”

It sounds like there might be an announcement in the near future.

Kenny Alexander said, on Racing TV after today’s defeat, that the final decision rests with the trainer. Let’s see what HdB comes out with over the next few days.

This is why I haven’t backed her for the Mares’ Hurdle.’

I always thought if she got beat she’d be odds-on to be retired to the paddocks.

Yes, they’d have the Mares’ race at their mercy, but it’s not a business to them, they don’t need the money and it’s not a race they’d in all probability want to be reduced to running her in after she’s won two Champion Hurdles.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this was her last race.

If Henderson can avoid any mishaps, its as near game over as possibly.

I was stupid last year, on the train to Cheltenham on the Tuesday morning, I put a silly £6 on Constitution Hill at 9/1 for the 2023 CH…Obviously before the supreme ..
Are there any other silly sods on here..

Chezza was in First Class on the same train and got 10/1 – and Hughesey topped all, travelling by helicopter while obtaining 12s.

This is just one reason why….Chezza hates Hughesey!
