First Street EW @ 50/1 NRNB

Without a major disaster happening i think one place is still up for grabs. If he wins well at Wincanton he would be ruled out of handicaps so probably run, if he gets stuffed he won’t run and probably go for a handicap somewhere. Hard to be confident that more than half a dozen will even turn up looking at the entries.

And State Man can’t possibly have improved since.

Or even orange – I last saw yellow at Hexham.

But point taken – that might “colour” his chances.

Its certainly no forgone conclusion that Constitution will win.
Im sure every one is looking for value angles on every horse in the race.
    Best to all..

I’ve also bet First Street 50-1 ew with non runner no bet. I really really fancy him today, and would like to have a backup for Constitution Hill

Just watching the Sporting Life festival preview on YouTube and Ben Linfoot has called State Man “a genuine 170” hurdler.

    Bonkers.

Might actually be possible (I rate him 167 on my numbers).

Shame he’s up against “a genuine 180” hurdler.

He’s one of the most overrated horses in training. Constitution Hill will beat him twenty lengths if Nico lets him.

And then most probably get a Timeform rating of 189p.

Let’s face it, they’re just gagging to have him break Night Nurse’s record number, you can tell from everything they’re saying.

And tbf, I think a spectacular display would warrant it.

    Can’t wait.

So state man beating honey 4 1/2 giving 7lbs easily isnt worthy of 170? So were assuming shes the worst priced fav of all time in the mares then glad? And that epetante should be easily accounting for her?

This thread will be a giggle next week

No. In fact, it isn’t worth anywhere near 170.

The only way State Man finishes within ten lengths of Constitution Hill is if Nico eases up heavily.

I’ve got 14 I Like To Move it in the w/o Constitution Hill market – took it just after he won at Wincanton as I thought it was too big.

Trying to take on and beat Constitution Hill might not prove the best idea and the one conservatively ridden for a place might end up runner up.
