Yeah Mike, i’ve seen one or two say that. She jumped perfectly straight over fences in her PTP which is on youtube. Hopefully no issue.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 21, 2020 at 12:17 #1480392Supasundae 33’s NRNB

An absolute legend of a horse, can’t understand the lack of love for him every year.
The trainer kept going on about how hard it was to get weight off him last year and possibly never quite got to the festival fully fit. Was brought into training a bit earlier this season and sounds like she has had a struggle again.
Since winning the Coral Cup he has ran in 13 consecutive G1’s and that Stayers runs was the only run that he never placed. Aside from when he beat Faugheen in the Irish champion stakes you could say that his last two runs last year were his best.
If Buveur D’Air was in this he would be 2/1 so no idea how he is priced at 33’s.
January 21, 2020 at 18:21 #1480429Just saw the head on of the last two hurdles in the hattons grace
Honeysuckle jumped left at both of them, well she drifted to the left before jumping straight
January 26, 2020 at 23:18 #1480960Still happy with my position here, but I’m happy to throw another outsider in there, and I’d kick myself if my old pal Gumball went there without a few quid on him.
Gumball 710’s
January 27, 2020 at 10:11 #1480983Leopardstown drying out before the weekend. Ground could be on the quick side. DeBromhead will be keeping a close eye on it with Honeysuckle. I really hope we see her this weekend to see if she can hang with the best Irish 2 milers
January 27, 2020 at 11:03 #1480988Surely they will water fairly heavily after last year
January 27, 2020 at 11:51 #1480994Leopardstown will have to water all week if the forecast is correct – between 1 and 10 mms accumulative rainfall
January 27, 2020 at 12:04 #1480996They either have to water or expect most of the top horses not to run
January 27, 2020 at 17:26 #1481016The hurdle track doesn’t get half as quick as the chase one as they’ve been watering that course all summer for the flat racing.
January 28, 2020 at 13:21 #1481092In such a weak renewal would it be worth the connections of Lady Buttons supplimenting her in?
January 29, 2020 at 13:52 #1481199Quote in the post from honeysuckles owner
“Ultimately I’ll go along with the trainer, but as it gets closer to the date and I look at the champion hurdle picture and with it not being clear and the mares race not a penalty kick, if she wins on saturday, or goes damn close, you know what, maybe she deserves a crack at the champion”
“I’m pretty sure she is the only horse I will ever own who’s good enough to run in a champion hurdle and have a chance”
February 1, 2020 at 15:15 #1481600Honeysuckle wont be winning this
February 1, 2020 at 15:21 #1481606Probably Mares Hurdle now.
February 1, 2020 at 15:23 #1481609She has the engine and speed but her jumping was too high and too slow
She has no chance in this or of beating benie in the mares jumping like that
They will have to improve her jumping a lot
February 1, 2020 at 15:43 #1481619Surprisingly mike i think she might still come here, its easier than vs benie if she makes it, cracking horse has an engine, but that was nowere near whats required to win even a poor CH
February 1, 2020 at 16:00 #1481623They’d be mad coming here. You can’t be frightened of a very good mare like Benie if yours is very good mare too.
February 1, 2020 at 17:20 #1481642I think honeysuckle may well still run here
The pentland hills/ballyandy/call me lord form line looks very very poor with quel destin winning today
If honeysuckle had jumped the last properly today shed have cleared away and been fav for this, as it is she clouted it and did well to win in the end as she completely lost momentum
There is really not a lot to beat in this race at all, especially with doubts over saldier
Would I back her at 5s? No probably not, but if she turns up she has every chance of being good enough to beat the british lot
