“And yeah cracking tip EE 6th beaten 26 lengths mate. When you acted like he was the second coming.”
Jasolong; you’re clearly mixing up your Proteins from your Carbohydrates
January 20, 2020 at 10:00 #1480286Pentland Hills reminds me a lot of my namesake and favourite horse, travels strongly, pulls too hard, jumps well, stops/ idles in front – when it drops and he clicks I think he could turn in to a champion hurdle winner – again which my namesake did in no uncertain terms in his year
If its a big field, if its fairly decent ground, if its a fast pace, I can see him being the only one on the bridle 2 out – if he can then power away who knows – he will be my pick tho,, in what is not a vintage year, I see a lot of potential in Pentland Hills
January 20, 2020 at 10:19 #1480289Jaso, while you were wrong here, the fact you’ve mixed him up with Potato is a huge insult , well played haha.
@Vautour- I can see what you mean. The form isn’t rock solid. She murdered him to be fair. I think it’s got something to do with everyone looking for a potential CH star. I think she’ll be able to do it as well.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 20, 2020 at 10:31 #1480290Apologies to Ham, I now understand the level of disrespect that I have given, confusing you with potato. You are in my prayers. Please forgive me for this disgusting act.
I also think having a username as an item of food should be banned from this group haha
January 20, 2020 at 12:27 #1480299I’ve a feeling I’m poking the hornet’s nest here, but I think it needs saying.
The Forum in recent years has dropped off in terms of usage and a number of the more prolific posters have disappeared. I’d have to personally have to lend it to this troll-like behaviour.
I made a brief comment in this past stating that, as much as I didn’t ever agree with Potato regarding his Elegant Escape comments, the way he was treated on here was nothing short of shameful.
Now to see this, that Jasolong would show such disregard and rudeness towards a member simply because he believed him to be another. The implication was basically made that ‘because you’re Potato your opinion is idiotic and does not matter’. Then to be mocked after the event and apologising to Ham for ‘disrespecting’ him.
This is nothing but bullying folks and you’re doing nothing but dragging this forum through the mud. It’s not a pleasant read.
January 20, 2020 at 13:20 #1480311There’s always one or two on forums Boz. Agree re the forum dropping off though. Frustrating to see. The recent posting issues have also made it less tempting to post. Thankfully it seems to be fixed and hopefully one or two will be back. Not sure though.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 20, 2020 at 13:29 #1480312Boz, take it easy mate, far too serious mate.
I don’t think potato is losing any sleep over getting a horse wrong. We have all made bad judgements on here. The reason why potato got a bit of ‘banter’ and that’s all it is banter, is because he was extremely bullish about it. I’m pretty sure he would expect a few people taking the piss a bit afterwards. You’re so serious mate it hurts. I’m very confident no one is trying to bully potato lol and my joke about confusing him with ham is just a joke. And jack please also lighten up, you act like your admin or something. And to be fair boz, your comment just now makes me not want to comment any more, so you’ve also contributed to lack of voices now too. I’m out of this group too, I’m glad it’s on the decline. So cliquey it’s unreal. Good luck lads
January 20, 2020 at 13:30 #1480313Have had a £10 free bet on honeysuckle at a boosted price of 11/1 with paddy
Fingers crossed she wins the irish champion hurdle
January 20, 2020 at 13:33 #1480314Also jack, you’re sitting there agreeing with boz when he’s talking about you too lmao! Boz said he didn’t like that I made a joke about being disrespectful to ham because I mistook him for potato. And you’re the one who first said it’s a biggest insult to call ham potato so I don’t know why you’re sitting there sayin there’s always one or two lmao ! You done it yourself ya clown.
January 20, 2020 at 14:44 #1480316There are certain people that come on forums, and plainly aim to insult others. I’ve often not agreed with anything Potato has said, and he became insulting, a bit like yourself many times. Maybe i’ve taken the wrong end of the stick with Boz’s post. Here we go again though, “clown”.
Definitely no mod here lol. Quite the opposite.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 20, 2020 at 15:48 #1480318Potato spamming about Elegant Escape and make wild assertions was suffocating the discussion and equally trolling, if less personal.
The lack of a decent quote function is far from ideal
January 20, 2020 at 16:00 #1480321I don’t mind the odd argument on here. It’s because we are passionate and that’s mainly w
Aimed at you jack. I don’t mind that we don’t agree a lot that’s just the game isn’t it.People like boz taking it too far by saying we are bullying potato just ruins the whole atmosphere to be honest. What is clearly intended at banter is twisted into something much more sinister. There was 3/4 of us having a laugh about the ham potato mix up. Which is quite amusing when you think about.
Only to be ruined by boz accusing people of bullying. It’s so petty and just tedious.
I’m out for now anyway, just a stale atmosphere now. All the best at Cheltenham guys, except boz hahaha. By the way boz that’s a joke mate, don’t claim that I’m bullying you
January 20, 2020 at 19:42 #1480332I think a win at DRF will surely bring honeysuckle to the yard?
January 20, 2020 at 20:11 #1480338Hope so, I’d be thinking she is a much better mare than epatante who imo is an appalling price
My main concern is that most of her runs have been right handed but a win at the DRF would satisfy that
January 20, 2020 at 21:50 #1480343I’m keeping everything crossed that she goes, I’d be very happy if she does.
Leapordstown will be her biggest test though, but hopefully she can do enough. I’ll be disappointed if she isn’t good enough next week.
I’m beginning to warm to Ballyandy as well. I had him down as a live one for The Stayers at the start of the season, but the step back in trip has worked wonders.
I actually bet him at 42’s before the race on Saturday, but his price held, so I just gave it back.
He’s got his work cut out to win it, but I think he’s possibly being a little underrated.
He looks sure to go here, and his Festival Form is 4th in a Supreme, and 3rd in a Coral Cup.
Ok, he was held in The Christmas Hurdle, but still made the frame, and was a very close second in The International, before winning the trial on Saturday.
He’s shown a great attitude, particularly on Saturday, and in The International, and at 33’s, I think he’s a very fair Each Way price.
I’m already green, so I’ll put the profit on him EW for a “free” bet, and keep myself ahead. If Honeysuckle does win next week, I’ll trim a few more pounds off, as she’ll be fairly short.
Ballyandy 33’s EW
Fusil Raffles 50’s EW (Laid 13’s)
Honeysuckle 50’s (Laid 11’s+)January 20, 2020 at 23:35 #1480351Another on the Honeysuckle train here, for the time being at least.
For all the bubble could be well and truly burst within a fortnight, at the prices she has to be worth a few quid.
January 21, 2020 at 06:00 #1480363Noticed Honeysuckle form is all right handed thus far.
