I have heard that the Mullins yard think Tavern Times is there best bumper horse, but I heard the same thing last year about Meath All Star so I wouldn’t read too much into that just yet.
If Endless Intrigue wins then thats a massive boost for Hidden Universe.
Different Mullins’ yards THM.
February 16, 2010 at 15:53 #277166My bad!
What I heard (just rumour now!) was that Paddy Mullin’s rates Tavern Times as the best bumper horse he’s ridden so far this year. I just assumed Willie trained it. It’s still early days regarding the Cheltenham bumper though and there’s surely a couple out there still unraced who could influence the race.
February 16, 2010 at 16:00 #277170The only Mullins conteder that’s impressed me was Up Ou That who really bolted away for a highly regarded De Bromhead horse on his bumper debut
February 16, 2010 at 21:47 #277247The Bumper at Naas is a absolute Cracker. Incredible Bumper for so late in the Year.
The John Magnier horse is a cracking animal….235k at the sales and related to all sorts of cracking pedigree. Dotted up on debut and O Grady thinks he is a monster.
Taverin Times would be interesting but the fact that the yard is in desperate form lately.
Loiss a Choill has been aimed all year at the Bumpers and the Weld and Kiely Horse are also well thought of.
Get the Sky + out…cracking race

vs
Shot from Hip
vs
Tavern Times
vs
Aracuria
February 19, 2010 at 13:06 #277795Drumbaloo is overpriced at 25/1 for this. He’s a bus of a horse and who knows, Robbie Mac could well be riding…
February 19, 2010 at 13:11 #277796Sizing Mexico….
No Nina, when is she due back?

Shot from Hip

Aracuria…..
Ran really well against For Bill, that’s terrific form
February 19, 2010 at 13:57 #277813I like this Shot From the Hip
Magnier has a incredible record in Bumpers if you look over the past few runners he has had.
February 20, 2010 at 18:31 #278119Day Of A Lifetime quite impressive but probably an ordinary race and whereas Up Ou That should improve for better ground this horse looks like he will probably want soft ground.
February 20, 2010 at 18:33 #278120Beautiful looking horse and could be a smashing chaser.
I thought he struggled to quicken in that ground and maybe better would suit.
I need a few more of Willie’s to come out for me to be confident about my Antepost voucher on him winning the race
February 21, 2010 at 12:43 #278236Any news on Forty Foot Tom will he be going to Cheltenham
If not my bumper horse is Up Ou That. And sad news that Naas got called of as that bumper race looked to be a cracker.Any news on the meeting being re aranged
February 21, 2010 at 14:11 #278259Anyone realise why Willie Mullins didn’t declare anything for today’s bumper

Because he knows Tavern Times is better than anything he has

I hear the new owner has three entered but I’ve found out nothing regarding plans
If not my bumper horse is Up Ou That.
Could be mine too if FFT is absent He was very impressive beating on of Henry De Bromheads good pointers on his debut and it’s getting a bit late for something dark to make its debut now

Forgot to add that the more exposed Aracuria appears best to me if going strictly on the form book, the run against For Bill was top class.

Romanesco was fairly comprehensively beaten yesterday in a maiden hurdle. Up Ou That beat him easily, but it’s hard to know if Romanesco is as good as was thought.

He sneaked under my radar yesterday somehow , I’d have been VERY peeved had he won considering how much I lost on him in the bumper!

I wouldn’t give up on Romanesco. He looked to be travelling very well before getting outpaced by the winner who probably stepped up considerably on his previous hurdle form. As regards Up Ou That I wouldn’t particularly see it as a positive or negative.
