Interesting- just looked on Betfair.
Celeritas currently 7th of 8 on the win market at around 20, favourite at 1.39 on the place.
Any clues there me wonders?

April 14, 2005 at 14:35 #95176well done indeed! :)
April 14, 2005 at 14:38 #95177Sell him now guys – ye’d make about 1000% on investment! Someone connected with these syndicates is a ‘good judge’ or a lucky type – thats a third winner from few horses. Congrats to all – plenty to look forward to.
April 14, 2005 at 15:13 #95178good point nore – well done to all connected.
April 14, 2005 at 15:37 #95179Oh, but he didn’t win! Yet… ;)
April 14, 2005 at 15:54 #95180Well done guys!
April 14, 2005 at 18:59 #95181Well done all – if I hadn’t been getting hitched this year I might have chanced my arm with a share myself – ho hum! Best of luck to everybody for the future it looks to be bright!
April 14, 2005 at 21:10 #95182
I see TRF got a mention on RacingUK today.
Willoughby said that Celeritas was owned by "The nice people from TRF".
Lydia also gave Phunter a mention.
If your reading Lydia, "get registered".
April 14, 2005 at 21:24 #95183Thank you all for your best wishes, we did fancy getting a place today and it’s nice when everything goes to plan!
We had a great time today and it was nice to get into the winners enclosure at Newmarket.
We are very happy with that run as you can imagine as there were some well bred (and VERY expensive) horses from top yards who we beat fair and square. The winner held us comfortably in the end but the rest were a good way back and as the winner of this race usually goes onto be listed/group class we are now confident we’ll have a fun summer!
We have 5 x 5% shares left for anyone that’s interested in joining us this summer.
April 14, 2005 at 21:41 #95184Daylight,
It sounds too good to be true that you would be still offering 5% shares at the same cost after todays run.
Whats the deal with this? Who actually owns Celeritas?

April 14, 2005 at 22:11 #95185Hi Nore,
Celeritas is owned by a breeder who we have struck a deal with, it’s the first time I’ve had dealings with this person but hopefully not the last, as it works in both our best interests.
Each 5% share is £75pcm, we won’t raise it because we want to keep it affordable to everyone as we also want good word-of-mouth publicity from our members (the best publicity).
April 14, 2005 at 22:13 #95186Absolutely chuffed to bits, good to hear Lydia give Pete a mention, although she did seem a bit surprised when James Willoughby informed her he runs for TRF.
BTW great prediction HJ:biggrin:
April 15, 2005 at 07:34 #95187Congrats to all concerned, once again he was beautifully turned out, a very good job done by Lad or Lass, how about a mention for the hard-working stable staff.

April 15, 2005 at 07:39 #95188To be honest Seabird John does most of the work himself and there’s no doubting our commitment to John & vica versa. Although Bruce (stable lad) is a cracking chap who has come on leaps and bounds for being at John’s yard as John recently taught him how to school and a month later wins a P2P. It’s a small but very friendly yard but most of all they know how to train horses as the results John achieves is amasing considering the horses we all ask him to train!
April 17, 2005 at 21:09 #95189Well done to everyone! Very exciting! So what’s the next plan DL? (Sorry, I keep asking that!)
April 18, 2005 at 07:06 #95190If everything goes to plan we’ll continue to aim him for a maiden then if he shows us enough maybe an entry for the Coventry.
