The new syndicate horse chosen is a 2 year old colt by Titus Livius (FR) out of Shahroza (USA) [by Sheikh Albado] and the foal was bought for £10,500. Titus Livius (FR) has a 12% strike rate and 161 places from 388 runs for all his 2yo runners over the last 5 years. The Sire has a very good record as you can see, and the colt is very forward (foaled 30th April 2003) as he is already has been in full gallops in preperation for a run in the Brocklesby in March. He has been placed with our usual trainer John Gallagher who himself is in great form recently and usually does well with the 2 year olds in the yard.
The horse is currently doing really well and John reports he feels really well, an entry for the Brocklesby may be the first option for our colt depending on the going on the day. The horses name has been chosen by the syndicate and accepted by Weatherbys as CELERITAS (latin for ‘Speed’)[/b]
