Not normally a Big Brother viewer but these specimens are more interesting than usual. Jodie Marsh is deserved favourite at 2/5 on Betfair for the first eviction given her broken record appeal. But Galloway at 11/4 may be value as he may mean very little to many of of the show’s younger viewers.
January 11, 2006 at 14:14 #96868Already done my money on Chantelle at 17’s. Thought she was certain to be evicted on Sunday night but unfortunately I’d not allowed for the gallantry of the younger men in the group.
Jodie is getting all the negative feedback on the forums which are usually a good indicator of public opinion – they are usually the people who can be bothered to vote!
Why do Ladbrokes have "any other" to win the competition as only a 4/1 shot. This is so much shorter than any other firms – are they friends with Endamol?
January 11, 2006 at 14:51 #96871Hiya,
This season of Celebrity Big Brother is not without its interests from a psychological point of view. It’s also fun to see how successful those participants with some agenda of which to speak are at getting it across on screen.
Jodie Marsh’s plonking of herself on the highest table right under a camera and turning on the waterworks at 3.30am (with a small and captive (but mercifully cynical) audience) was calculated to the nth degree and rightly fell on its arse; whereas Mr Galloway’s chats with Rula Lenska must be affording him close to the amount of coverage he had hoped for in re-iterating his stance re: the War on Terror, Saddam et al.
Some way from brain-dead watching, I’d suggest.

Maybe Aiden O’Brien is going to enter the house?

January 11, 2006 at 23:53 #96883Peaty Sandy has called it correctly and if Insomniac were to watch his list he’d have to change his username
great list to be honest and one I totally agree with, I’ve said on many occasions if they want to keep putting crap similar to Insomniacs list on TV they ought to abolish the stupid TV licence and at least give us all a bit of satisfaction.
I feel embarrassed for those that actually love those kind of TV shows but I suppose it takes allsorts. :(
January 12, 2006 at 15:45 #96885Glad to see Hollyoaks isn’t on that list. Top programme IMO.
I wouldn’t go as far as saying I loved any reality show, or anything on Insomniac’s list for that matter, but to dismiss them as being totally devoid of interest on any level is possibly a little nose off in spite of face.
It does sadden me that the younger demographic is more exercised in voting for these programmes than a democratically electable party when called upon to do so, however.

January 12, 2006 at 17:47 #96888I would have a public vote – to keep the bunch of herbits in the Big Brother house forever.

January 19, 2006 at 13:49 #96893One hour of riveting TV last night . 95% of TV is full of false personalities and fake smiles. Nice to see a show where personalities have to reveal a glimpse of their real selves.
