4 pts win Faraday 7.50 Wolverhampton 4/1 generally.
Only has to repeat the form of his previous class 7 win here, blinkers will help.
2nd 15/8 -4pts.February 16, 2008 at 11:03 #1437561 pt win Allumee 4.10 Ascot 6/1 guaranteed Bet Direct.
Goes well fresh, likes small fields.
N.R.
1 pt each-way The Real Deal 3.25 Haydock 16/1 Betfred, others.
Goes well fresh.
Won 15/2 +19.2 pts
1 pt win Kenzo III 2.05 Wincanton 11/2 generally.
goes well fresh.
won 11/2 +5.5 pts
1 pt win double Neptune Collonges 3.10 Wincanton, Starzaan 4.15 Wincanton
Neptune is different class to these, odds-against is a gift. Duc De Regniere is a poor jumper so Starzaan is value as the outsider.
won 5/4, won 5/4 +4 pts
Thanks all, prob day off tomorrow.February 16, 2008 at 16:21 #143866Incredible again today carv, best I’ve seen. Big well done.
February 16, 2008 at 16:28 #143870Top man Carv
February 16, 2008 at 21:16 #143990Good picking Carvs, my wee mate was round and reckons he’s going to back all your tips next week.

Brilliant stuff, Carv.
Any chance you could lend us a tenner?February 18, 2008 at 20:33 #144549Racing Post Chase Ante Post
1 pt win Gungadu 5/1 Bet 365, Betfred, Ladbrokes.Won well at Sandown latest and though a 9lbs rise doesn’t look lenient, he was idling in front that day and was value for considerably more. The higher-weighted horses do well in this race as it’s the ability to jump and travel that wins races around Kempton. I expect the 5/1 to disappear tomorrow and fully expect him to start considerably shorter given the paucity of credible opposition.
won 4/1 +5 pts.February 19, 2008 at 12:34 #144660Racing Post Chase Ante Post
1 pt each-way Ardaghey 33/1 Ladbrokes, Bet 365.
Goes well fresh, and is an intended runner- overpriced.
unpl 20/1 -2 pts.February 20, 2008 at 12:04 #1449691 pt win Newbay Prop Eider Chase 8/1 Totesport.
Favourite Arnold Layne is a doubtful runner, my information is that God is sending this fella over. He looked like he needed further in the Thyestes last time and is already a winner over the Irish National C and D. Ideally he’d need dig in the ground, but good to soft will be OK.
4th 7/2 -1 pt.
1 pt win Impudent 2.35 Punchestown 10/3 Ladbrokes.
Main rival Field Commander is far from certain to appreciate the ground today and Martin Brassil’s French import is a total unknown quantity. This mare beat Essex on the Flat at Tralee, a cracking run on heavy ground. She should be much shorter today.
3rd 4/1 – 1pt.February 20, 2008 at 21:35 #145160The prices are absolutely vanishing on your Ardaghey, have been watchin the market the last few weeks and theres been a few moves (not least after ungaro was tipped by pricewise and then had a good report) but this appears to be possibly the gamble of the race…good one to be on carvs…
February 22, 2008 at 13:22 #1455001 pt win Roznic 2.20 Sandown 11/1 Totesport.
Runs over a more suitable trip today, not out of this.
3rd 8/1 -1 pt.I was hoping to see fancy prices about Mythical Air in the 7.20 Wolves, (put in 33/1 in the Post) but it looks like all the crowing connections did after landing a gamble last time has put the layers on alert- It’ll be interesting to see how it goes but current single figure quotes don’t excite.
Showed their naivety again by allowing her to run after belting around loose for a circuit beforehand- predictably well beaten- money saved!
February 23, 2008 at 00:29 #1457041 pt win Double Vodka 2.25 Newcastle best morning price.
His form here last year is as good as anything in the race and quotes of around 14/1 are very fair. Wouldn’t want rain, check the overnight weather before steaming in…
unpl 15/2 -1 pt.1 pt win Striking Article Supreme Novices Hurdle 25/1 generally.
I expect him to win at Newcastle tomorrow and to be Hojo’s chosen one for the Festival opener, which he’s won before.
2 pts win Hold the Pin 4.20 Fairyhouse 3/1 P Power, Hills
Won easily latest, stone rise not enough to stop him today.
Unpl 4/1 -2 pts.February 24, 2008 at 07:05 #145994Carv
Can I thank you for Gungadu. Didn’t get any 5’s but got better than 9/2 on BF.
First class tipping mate.
February 25, 2008 at 10:42 #146320It starts… Betfred, Stan James and Bet 365 all NRNB for Cheltenham. My favourite time of year…..
2 pts win Agus a Vic Cheltenham Foxhunters 5/1 Betfred NRNB.
This is shaping up to be one of the worst renewals of the Foxhunters in a long time and opposition to this impressive Leopardstown winner is hard to find- Lou du Moulin Mas is second fav and might not even have won yesterday had Green Belt Flyer stood up. It looks like Beautiful Vision won’t run and Thisthatandtother will need oxygen to stay this trip and was turned over at 1/8 last time. I can’t see this horse starting bigger than 3/1 so 5s with the concession is a gift.
February 26, 2008 at 22:57 #146708Alright Carvs, if you were to pick out a lucky 63 for cheltenham, with horses priced 5/1 or over what would the 6 horses be. Im looking to get a couple on before the meeting starts, but most of the ones I keep drifting towards are one Ive already done single, which can’t really be bothered doing. Was wanting a different insight from someone who’s picking style might be sorted to the type of bet I want to do.
February 26, 2008 at 23:24 #146711All NRNB for Cheltenham: Just for you Bulwark!
1 pt win Psycho County Hurdle 7/1 Betfred.
I think God will run him here. Had slaughtered his field at Leopardstown before falling at the last, well handicapped even off a higher mark here.2 pts win Bible Lord Racing Post Plate 12/1 Betfred/Paddy Power.
The drop back to this trip was the making of him, progressive young horse.1 pt win Sentry Duty Supreme Novices 12/1 Vic (NRNB in Irish shops), 11/1 Bet 365
Nicky knows how to win this, classy Flat recruit, highly impressive at Doncaster.2 pts win, 1 pt place My Petra Grand Annual 12/1 Bet 365.
Hendo loves to win the race named in honour of his Dad and low-weighted novices have a good record- she’s got 10-3.2 pts win L’Antartique Ryanair Chase 9/1 Boyles.
Loves this C and D, forget the last run, he’ll bounce back here. Major holes in the front few.2 pts win Robin Du Bois Pertemps Final 10/1 Betfred.
Trying to defy the stats as a 5-y-o but if anyone can, God can….February 27, 2008 at 00:15 #146727Cheers carvs, that gives me a few extra ones to throw in the mix, I remember the psycho race as was on motaraqeb and prince erik that day, was a really good paced race, and like you say he had the race at his mercy.
I’ll see if I can find out any more about l’antartique, ferdy murphys yard is right by me in north yorkshire and I share a betting shop with his stable lads, only been in a couple of times lately though, as just phone them in.
