Struggling to find much of strong interest here, but Astro King 22/1 1/5 odds 7 places may be worth an tickle. Conditions are spot on and he’s acquitted himself admirably carrying weights in very competitive contests. Drawn on the near flank is also a plus.

I’d backed Killybegs Warrior at 28s on the exchange and e/w 20/1 8 places
with Sky, that’s a bold move by Skybet. Only thing is that Pricewise has
picked him which is normally the death knell for me.

Also Crack Shot at 14s too.

Far too short the favourite but beaten fair and square.

Thanks! Couldn’t have gone better, settled behind the near side leaders going well, gap opened up nicely and he was strong to the line. ITV Racing team desperately trying to make excuses for the favourite, but looked to me strongest on the day won it.

Nevison is sore because he has tipped Astro King plenty of times but did not tip him today.

At first I wondered if Murphy had been a bit overconfident but it looked to me like the favourite’s effort flattened out a little bit in the last half furlong.

“Far too short the favourite but beaten fair and square.”

Agreed. Winning a race with 8 runners is a bit different than a 34-horse cavalry charge.

    Well done Rob. :good:

    Having watched the race again:
tbh – not having a bet in the race – the favourite did seem to need to wait for a gap.

Do think they’re justified to say Greek Order was a little unlucky.

Nice work Rob – well done. Could prove a turning point in the career of Kubler Racing
