Yeah, I’d be thinking Wendigo at this stage too.

I know he’s quoted in the plate as well but Snowdon is on record as saying the horse wants 3m and fences is his game.

    16’s will do for me.

Yeah but the other jockeys were rowing away and Patrick was just sitting there. No point letting your horse put in a flashy perfomance on soft/heavy.

Yes , he’s got a very good chance however he did get beat at Cheltenham last year and this could be a decent renewal

    HDLG,

He was beaten due to jockey error last season. Pretty much a carbon copy of Ruby on Denman in the same race years back.

Final Demand needed to be at the front forcing the pace in a 2m5f hurdle race. Terrible ride from Townend. He rode him like a speed horse that day.
Nicanor wouldn’t have gotten close to Denman if Ruby had opened him up on the 2nd circuit.

I think Final Demand won that race while half asleep today. Nothing beats him in March but I have a cover bet on The Big Westerner at 22/1 just in case something goes wrong.

I think The New Lion is going to surprise his doubters in March. Not saying he’s going to beat Sir Gino but I think he’ll be coming up the hill very close to Lossiemouth.

Topped up on Jimmy at 25s e/w. That ground today was never going to see him in his best light – given better ground (hopefully) in March, and with his proven festival record, I’m still hopeful of a big run.

Mullins form is not as good as most years at Christmas yet Final Demand didn’t break sweat…
I still don’t see the dangers… Romeo Coolio wants 2 and a half

Seems crazy taking 1/1. But he’ll hose up at the DRF. Appears to have no weaknesses. As with them all, he could ping a tendon on the gallops, but measuring it as a cold investment opportunity in a stocks n shares kind of way, he’ll be 2/5 on the day. I have neither the nerve nor appetite for that sort of betting, but admire those who do.

The doubters are saying he’s not quick enough to win the Champion Hurdle and neither are you having read your post so where’s the surprise? ;o) lol

I’ve already backed Kitzbuhel for this and have added his beginners runner up Kaid d’Authie at 50s ew. He’s a big lanky horse and probably still lacking a bit of power behind the saddle at this age but I like him, I am very interested to see how far he can develop as I think there’s plenty of potential there. That beginners was a good race.
Think he’ll be better left handed but Fairyhouse is a nice place to go for his second try over fences; the past two editions were won by Champ Kiely and Nick Rockett.

Think FD is one of the worst prices of the week. Beat very little in his career to date, lost in his only appearance at HQ, and against 2 horses I don’t think an awful lot of.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a bloody lovely jumper of a fence and the most likely winner but priced like he’s done it all before rather than simply the potential he has.

This and the Turners looking much deeper than most recent renewals but FD should be better at 3
