GAELIC WARRIOR at 14’s ew early doors then the media hype regarding the Stayers Division there for the taking so went in with WH to win any race at 7/2. Happy with the 14’s

STAY AWAY FAY to win any race at 8/1 (Hoping Nicholls would choose the NH Chase)

Also did GRANGECLARE WEST for the Turners at 32’s on the exchange this morning plus a screwy 12/1 to win any race.

Knowing my luck all three will turn up here…..DOH

Mike, he has to go up surely- that’s how handicapping works.

FF- not sure quite on the snaff! DML won on the snaff.

Yogi, something surely has to go wrong for Fay to go to a NH CHASE. When has Nicholls sent his best staying chasers there? Given everything he’s said is 100% BANC i can’t see it.

He could run in 2 similar races against trees and end up around 165 for the Festival lol. Up 1 or 2lb will do.

Mullins really likes fact to file as a staying chaser

Ruby talked him up in the paddypower season preview as well

Him and Salvador mundi mullins 2 horses to follow for the RP Stable tour

El fabiolo was one last year can’t remember his other one

    Hi Jack

Absolutely agree, when all the hype surrounded GW going to stay over hurdles I covered my bet on him and then thought what could I do for a cover for BANC if this were to happen? STAY AWAY FAY for any race at 8/1 I thought was reasonable value but now GW seemingly back in the mix I was hoping FAY would step up but like you. I can’t really see it to be honest.

Fairyhouse tomorrow abandoned, so Nathan will have to wait to see his beloved Garlic Bread in action.

I’d say stay away fay will go straight to Aintree for a weaker grade 1 if Nicholls doesn’t think he has a good chance of winning this not the NHC.

    100% FF.

Nicholls is pretty transparent with his top horses.

He’s namechecked this race many times + if for whatever reason the horse wickedly disappoints, i can’t imagine he’ll be taking him to a NHC at all.

American Mike is 66-1 for this so had a little ew go as I think he can get his groove back. His bumper form and that of Fact to File are almost identical after all, and they’re the same age.

They both have reasonable opposition today, should be a good race.

    Like the pick GAG

He absolutely hammered letsbeclearaboutit on his Hurdles debut

His season then fell apart after that, with a little niggle then jumping problems

If the engine is still in tact and he jumps fences better he’s definitely interesting :good:

    Great pick greenasgrass :good:

As hoped he’s a much better jumper of fences than he was hurdles

Paddy still 40/1 have to take that

Even though I’m already on too many in this race

But at that price only need pennies on

Yes, although last year I’m convinced he was actually ill. Jumping not perfect today but pretty good. I think he benefited from leading in a race with no pace- both jockeys at pains not to gut the horses in that ground- getting a better stride at the last and possibly Elliott’s horses’ fitness may be a shade ahead of Mullins’. Fact to File jumped nicely too.
I backed Mike for today’s race so that has paid for my BANC bet on him- still love Grangeclare West the best though

Got the right hand jumping, expert Cheltenham First Loser horse who ludicrously heads the market still to come out  along with Monty’s Star, who I’m interested in, plus a few others who could throw their hats in the ring.

    Nice GAG

I like both Henrys from the Bartlett as potentials for this

Tickled him today so great to see him win well , not sure how strong the form is as a lot of the Mullins horses are undercooked , def a nice price though

Makin’yourmindup makes his chase debut at Exeter tomorrow. A Grade 2 winner over hurdles, he wasn’t at his best when slammed by Giovinco in April. I’m hoping he can step up again over fences. He may not be good enough for a race of this stature, and 33s is skimpy enough, but he is one I expect to win plenty of graded races.

I’m surprised you can still get 25s for Il Est Francais

It’s a bit ridiculous having 4 for this- I’m already on Grangeclare West, American Mike and Grey Dawning- but I think Monty’s Star is going to be Henry de Bromhead’s next Gold Cup winner. Gorgeous big beast made for fences. Came second in a P2P – to Stay Away Fay, who jumped the last better and Monty was then eased- and was just marking time over hurdles.

He has some decent opposition today and will likely need the full 3 miles to be at his best. Also might need the run a bit as he is such a beast (his half brother Monalee won his first chase, big Minella Indo lost his albeit to Laurina over 2m4f). But I expect class and jumping ability to get him there and I think the 13-2 today is a good price, took that and the 50s for the BANC.
