If Stoutey thinks Sea Moon could be the best he has ever trained, he might as well hand his training establishment over to Clive Brittain right now.
I think he could run well but he really needs cut in the ground imo.I like the look of Sarafina for this one.
Well that’s what the man told Alan Dudman right after he won the GV.
A bit harsh being a tiny bit derogatory towards Clive Brittain who’s a great grand father almost 75 years old and not quite ready to be ordering himself a pine box just yet. Although Tuesday would be good

Joking aside he was a real pro handled some classy horses in his time like User Friendly, Mystiko, one of your own favs PEBBLES ?, Sayyedtai,Julio Mariner, Alflora,, Averof winning taces all over Europe in the process.
Obviously Stouty was talking potentially but potential may well be good enough to win this.
November 5, 2011 at 11:55 #376135For me this race revolves around what we can expect from Await The Dawn. If you look at the bookmaker’s prices then it would seem he is only there for little more than a completion. Personally, I still believe he was the best of the O’Brien older horses and if he does retain most of his ability he could get a pretty easy lead and make all.
November 5, 2011 at 12:44 #376150He must have forgotten he trained Shergar!
November 5, 2011 at 20:26 #376249Cant see Sea Moon being as effective around a tight track and the hairpins. Lay.
November 5, 2011 at 20:51 #376251Wow!!! he’s taken his time to live up to his 2 year old reputation but that was awesome
November 5, 2011 at 21:04 #376255He must have forgotten he trained Shergar!
He said 10 mins before the race he was still unfurbished. He’s ran a excellent race and looked as green as cabbage in the closing stages.
Lay me 100/1 for the Arc anyone!!!!
November 6, 2011 at 18:20 #376472Will he be kept another year in training? What would be his best distance?Could he win a couple of BCs?Must give second thoughts to those who said he failed to train on.What about Camelot? Will he train on?
November 6, 2011 at 19:48 #376485Given that Joseph O’Brien has been given some stick on here, its fair to say he rode a high quality race and proved he has plenty of class.
November 7, 2011 at 14:44 #376582Nobody on this thread mentioned SNA to win.So he won two Group Ones this year. Montjue has two very good prospects for next years classics; Wading and Camelot. He won the Derby this year Will he do it again next year?

wading looks a fantastic prospect for next year and is the one i would back right now for the oaks.her easy defeat of pimpernel looks rock solid now and she looks the type to go on next year.who knows if camelot will go on next year but come april may time imsure well get the vibes whether he will be the next star from ballyboyle.some line up aiden obrien has for next seasons three year olds with wading and maybe for the fillies and camelot, wrote, crusade, daddy long legs and neprite for the colts.takes me back to vincent obrien around the time of caerleon sadlers well etc when he cleaned up the 3 year old division.
November 14, 2011 at 18:56 #377877Await the Dawn was basically a pace maker but what a beautiful pace he set.Local stable jockeys at Ballydoyle could take home much from watching that race.Anyone at Ballydoyle could have ridden SNA with that pacemaker
