The European horses are at a disadvantage as the horses are very rarely laid out for the race. Many have had many runs and long seasons. Best bet has to be Arizona. He improved massively behind Pinatubo and looks to be strengthening all the time. Magical in the fillies turf would have been a great race but no to be. Apart from Aiden, not a lot of European horses.
October 29, 2019 at 08:01 #1473111I’m with you on that one FF, she showed similar 2 starts ago when I believe Got Stormy beat her, but Uni met alot of traffic that day and again showed that electric turn of foot late to place.
Got Stormy beat her by 2.5L though. Do we think Uni might have won with a clear run?
What a race this is turning out to be. Without Parole is running for new trainer Chad Brown. What an interesting runner he is!
October 29, 2019 at 09:17 #1473113Properly trying to avoid looking at the BC this year…i go to down royal both days + end up drinking at some stage. Not a good mixture with the Breeders Cup!
Uni is tempting me though..

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 29, 2019 at 09:39 #1473115I’m most definitely not a dirt racing man but that Juvenile is a proper race. Three proper colts going head to head in Dennis’ Moment, Eight Rings & Maxfield. I had a bet on Maxfield each way after he won his Grade 1 3-4 weeks ago in incredible fashion so fingers crossed.
Other bet i’ve had is Arizona in the Juvenile Turf. His form is much the best and although the wide draw isn’t ideal the 5/2 or thereabouts more than compensates as i’d have him more of a 6/4 chance.
Always enjoy watching the meeting with a couple of beers & like that they’ve split the meeting properly into two days this past year or two.
October 29, 2019 at 10:20 #1473117Theres the race frenchy
Uni had to make quite a big correction just as she was getting going down the inner so had no chance of beating get stormy. Unis wide draw this time should mean shes coming down the outer hopefully not weaving through from the rail
Was giving 2lb that day as it was a group 1 handicap this will be off levels
Both of them will put it up to circus maximus youd think, tempted by a saver
October 31, 2019 at 15:50 #1473370Without parole 16/1 In the mile
Bricks & mortar 2/1 In the turf
Midnight bisou 6/4 In the distaff
British idium 4/1 In the fillies juv dirt
Big bet e/w on without parole, held back until decs as i wasnt sure if hed turn up her FTO so missed the 25/1
October 31, 2019 at 20:43 #1473389My two for tomorrow are
Kimari 100/30 juvenile turf sprint
Decorated invader 5/1 juvenile turfMay have a few pennies on albigna as well if the closers do ok in the first few races
October 31, 2019 at 23:04 #1473403Tricky Friday evening Grade 1 action but there is one I’m quite surprised is such a big price. Albigna at 9/2 in the fillies turf. Wants a fast pace for this so hopefully they get on with things up front. That is probable with those stepping up in trip unlikely to be held up on a track like this.
Other than that I’m happy with the content on offer although the Juvenile turf for the boys looks an average renewal. It wouldn’t surprise me if Fort Myers can get the better of Arizona but I’m not willing to bet on it.
October 31, 2019 at 23:23 #1473409I’m a little baffled as to why daahyeh is shorter than albigna with most firms
Will daahyeh stay the mile strong enough to win?
November 1, 2019 at 00:10 #1473413Changed tack a little and spread my money around a bit more so iv got some interest in all bar the last grade 1
Kimari 100/30- juvenile turf sprint
Decorated invader 5/1 – juvenile turf
British idiom 4/1- juvenile fillies
Albigna 4/1 – juvenile fillies turfFound a decent set of preview videos on YouTube where they showed clips of all the main contenders and for me kimari, decorated invader and british invader were the most visually impressive
Gl all
November 1, 2019 at 09:22 #1473429Can’t have Albigna myself, she took forever to get going in Longchamps long straight so Santa Anita looks far too sharp for her. Not had a proper look at what i fancy yet, but i think i’ll go with one of the US horses.
November 1, 2019 at 10:02 #1473435She will certainly need a strong pace to aim at
November 1, 2019 at 12:52 #1473450Cheers for the link FF. Both Got Stormy and Uni still have a bit to find on Circus Maximus. Got Stormy looked like he was travelling better than Uni anyway in that race I think, hard to tell really.
Got Stormy then was a bit disappointing next time out however, should really have beaten El Tormenta. She must be tempting at 16/1 as well.
Do we know pace wise how the race is likely to go (ie is there guaranteed a really fast pace?) I can see Lord Glitters staying on into a place if so.
Without Parole is really interesting. Ham why is he a big bet for you? Any background on him since he moved to the US? I’ve followed him all through his career, backed him antipost to win the SJP, then lost a lot after! He became almost unbackable really in the UK and looked like one of those horses that just fell out of love with racing, however, to run him in this first time out for the new trainer and country, surely he must have been showing some form at home? I’m really tempted!
It’s between those 6, but no bet yet still
November 1, 2019 at 12:57 #1473454Joining you on those FF. Will put them into a win double also. I really like Decorated Invader and backed Kimari antipost at Ascot, so was gutted about the ground. She ran a fine race considering.
I can’t see Arizona winning at all, most likely improved last time out because he was allowed to go on and race on his own in front pretty much. No way he can do that from this draw surely.
November 1, 2019 at 13:03 #1473455This made me laugh Jack! Last 2 years I’ve been burnt on Breeders Cup Saturday night for exactly those reasons! Who says Alcohol and Betting doesn’t mix! haha
Anyway, this year, no alcohol and full concentration. Hoping for an improvement!
November 1, 2019 at 13:05 #1473456Don’t wander abroad much for my betting with my last Breeders Cup selection being Roy H in 2017.
However with time on my hands have looked at the Turf & Dirt Sprints and for those interested have alighted on Totally Boss for the former and believe Shancelot is worth more than a passing interest in the latter.Hopefully both will start at decent odds as I intend them as e/w bets.A more indepth preview is going to be placed on my thread elsewhere on this site.
good luck to allNovember 1, 2019 at 14:26 #1473469Before I place the Kimari bet, who would be Wesley Ward’s number 1 rider here? Four Wheel Drive is joint Favs with some
