Here are the results of the Breeders’ Cup competition (let me know asap if you want to hold a steward’s enquiry on my calculations!)
Well done to Happy Jack who put up a World Throughbred Championship class performance with 6 winners (Maryfield, War Pass, Lahudood,
Kip Deville, English Channel (Nap) and Curlin).Badactor showed that local knowledge is a important and gave HJ a real run for his money – a really good effort.
Cormack15 also had a great Saturday and would have won many competitions with his selections.
Lets hope they put their money down as well and made a good profit on the day.
HJ wins a Breeders’ Cup jacket (as only given out to owners, trainers, jockeys and grooms of the event) a commemorative Breeders’ Cup engraved glass, racecard and pen.
Badactor wins a Breeders’ Cup baseball cap, racecard and pen

Grimes 4October 28, 2007 at 19:34 #121960Excellent competition Adrian – livened up my Breeders Cup to see selection after selection of mine come in. Little did I know that Happy Jack and Badactor were putting in stellar performances, especially Happy Jack whose selections were incredible. I felt a bit like My Swallow must have felt when lining up for the 1971 2,000 Guineas only to find Brigadier Gerard and Mill Reef in opposition.
Some really great prizes as well. Thank you on behalf of the forum.
October 28, 2007 at 19:37 #121961well done the winners and thanks to Adrian
October 28, 2007 at 20:02 #121966Congrats to the Happy Jack, Badactor & Corm.
Many thanks Adrian. Althought we where only listening in on BF Radio and not betting, an interest in every race, made for an enjoyable evening for all the family
October 28, 2007 at 20:16 #121976A great competition, Adrian and congratulations to Happy Jack, Badactor and Cormack who came with a storming run.
October 28, 2007 at 21:04 #122004Apologies to all that my usually hopeless guessing managed to hit the target for once – the excellent prizes will make up for the fact that I didn’t have a farthing on any of my selections! Many thanks to Adrian for running an excellent competition and for taking the time to sort out some tremendous, and unexpected prizes
I’m dead chuffed and I know that the jacket in particular is going to make several people at work very jealous! A PM is heading your way forthwith, Adrian.
