Brazil v Spain Last 16?

Don’t think anyone saw that coming.

Presuming Brazil win their group then Spain would need to win their last two games (and hope Switzerland slip-up elsewhere) to avoid meeting the five-times World Championions in the last 16.

Spain v Brazil must look odds on now. Can’t see the Swiss not beating Honduras meaning they will only need a point against Chile to top the group. And if Spain and Switzerland do finish tied on six points then it could easily go down to head-to-head meaning the Swiss finish above the Spanish.

So to me it looks like Spain finishing second, Brazil winning their group, and a last 16 meeting.

Hope I’m wrong though – got Spain to top their group in a good looking acca. Well it was looking good until the Swiss turned up
