Did the BHA post the outcome of Bouclier // William carson running and riding incident at Kempton?
One of the stranger cases seen on the all weather, his rider appeared to strike his own boot on a few attempts rather than the horse?March 14, 2016 at 11:53 #1237347here you go mate
Race 5 – 4:30pm THE RACING UK 3 DEVICES 1 PRICE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4)
The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of BOUCLIER (IRE) ridden by William Carson and trained by Tony Carroll, which broke from stall six and raced wide before staying on in the home straight to finish fifth beaten 2 lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer who confirmed a post-race examination of the horse during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities. The rider stated his instructions were to go forward with cover and tuck in third or fourth as BOUCLIER (IRE) can run too free. Having jumped well from the stalls he was unable to get cover. He added that he was forced to race wide from his outside draw and he was running keener than he would have liked. The trainer confirmed that these were his instructions and he was satisfied with the ride given. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race the Stewards noted their explanations.March 15, 2016 at 21:59 #1237799Thanks for this info.
I see Bouclier is running at Kempton and had been backed tonight from as big as 10/1 to 6/4
