Did anyone back this horse yesterday at Taunton ? I feel for you if you did.

I didn’t, but was there at the track and thought that Paddy Brennan rode one of the most cocky and ill-judged races I’ve ever seen. I don’t know whether or not the mare pulls herself up when she hits the front – I think she went past the horse that beat her after the wire – but her jockey was trying to be cute and win by a short head and made a complete hash of it. The mare should have won – with competent assistance from the saddle – fairly easily.
