Clondaw Robin on the non racing agreements list. Seemed to run at every Plumpton meeting but his only win came at Fontwell. Still managed to pick up over £22,000 in 40 odd races over his 6 year career and gave his owners lots of fun.
Sadly, £22k wouldn’t even have touched the sides of his training fees over the years.
A sad indictment of prize money in this country.
Chianti Classico retirement announced by Kim Bailey today.
What a shame we never got to see him kick on last season, picking up that injury in a Premier Handicap at Cheltenham in December.
A lot of good NH horses in this list in the last few months. The scene needs quality as well as quantity and that injury was so disappointing.
Broadway Boy confirmed as doing really well but he will never be able to race again following his fall in the Grand National. Confirmed retired

Really glad Broadway Boy has been retired – I would have been very uncomfortable watching him if he had come back into racing off the back of that awful fall, a decision that really shouldn’t have taken this long to arrive at.
Hopefully they can find him a nice home as a hack for someone or with ROR as an ambassador (assuming he is suitable for it) as I really wouldn’t like to see him go on to do any other kind of further jumping (eventing/showjumping etc) if I am being totally honest.

Was there when he won the Dewhurst last year beating Whistlejacket.
Look forward to seeing his progeny on the ground in the years to come.
