Point taken Mounty – of course being too lazy to update it is always an acceptable (as well as an easily identifiable with!!) answer!
May 24, 2007 at 21:33 #61158Dave – I think somehow incorporating a method of compiling/accessing Trf members blogs is a great concept and is, in fact, one of the items being included in the TRF revamp which is now, thankfully, nearing completion. <br>
May 25, 2007 at 10:39 #61160Glad to hear it Corm .. there’s some great stuff out there and it would be ideal if we could pull it all into one place for everyone to read.
If it’s a separate folder on the forum and you need a Moderator for it, I would be more than happy to take care of that for you, if required.<br>
May 25, 2007 at 14:58 #61162Seconded.

Actually, I’ve done a complete U-turn and have to agree with you ………… the mis-spellings lift an already excellent blog into the stratosphere of the truly great!!! Me hugs Cubone — he’s a National Treasure!
Just to quote one of his many gems from recent postings: "before he left the meeting he was shot in the buttox. and carried the bullett with him until his death in the 60s"
LOL, Live long and prosper, Cubone. :) <br>

He’s a man in a million<br>and even Arthur Askey<br>couldn’t hold back<br>his irrepressible mirth

Indeed he is!<br>His mis-spellings I now appreciate add great uniqueness, individuality and charm to the blog. The man should have a Government preservation order put on him! A class act!!!
I’m loving his occasional philosophical musings also. Here is Cubones take on addictions:<br>______________________________________<br> "I would like to give my humble advise. on any aspect, Grand Father Rights, is a pet hobbie of mine also Old Peoples rights, that doesnt mean that School bullying. Cocain, crack, or heroin dependancy is not a massive concern.to me.
Binge Drinking I know a lot about. but that dont mean I have a cure
family going back 4 generations, and all smoked except me. and it is a fact that at 70 I hold the record for longevity. only the tourtise, is on a par at 70. howver he like me, is a passive smoker."<br>_______________________________________ ÂÂÂ
ROFL ROFL ROFL.
BTW, I see that Cubone has addressed the issue of spelling errors. Quote from his blog: " and hate to waist any time spell checking". Viva Cubone, and don’t change a thing!
May 27, 2007 at 14:39 #61168… Cubone’s blog is a master piece … I see he’s got you hooked hoofhearted ..
May 27, 2007 at 15:55 #61169Bigtime, Dave!<br>Can’t wait for his next installment.
If Bolton’s greatest steeplejack could have the "Fred Dibnah Appreciation Society" formed by his fans then I think Cubone is deserving of a similar honour!!!
Both great eccentrics/characters in the best British tradition ……….. but unlike Cubone dear old Fred (R.I.P) didn’t have a blog! ;)
May 29, 2007 at 08:57 #61170I have communicated with Corm .. blogs should be included in the site up-grade, which should be happening over the next few of weeks.<br>

There was sometimes a healthy rivalry<br>betweeen the boneman and myself on Blue.<br>Mentioning his nemesis the troubling Arthur Askey affair<br>which heralded his departure for a time<br>is hardly a friendly gesture on my part,<br>however he recovered well<br>and has grown tremendously since.<br>He seems to take a lot of pleasure<br>from his writing and re-living<br>his colourful past.<br>I am very pleased for him<br>my beard glows
May 31, 2007 at 10:42 #61172You have talent g .. don’t let any ranter tell you otherwise .. would a blog or a book be best ?<br>
May 31, 2007 at 23:33 #61173:old:
Well J they say everyone has a book in them.<br> so after my slipper bath<br> I used a mirror and a small torchlight<br> and found to my utter dissapointment<br> not one dicken and no sight of a hardee<br> just the empty inside of a hard back<br> and something pink hanging down<br> that resembled a capital letter<br> but when I shone the light on it<br> it went bright orange<br> and seemed to wink back in anger<br> and the curl on top of it flattened<br> as a couple inside shouted<br> ‘give me an I give me a T'<br> it looked like TINTIN<br> and possibly the Thompson twins
July 3, 2007 at 09:14 #105841I’ve had a thought – I can’t recall having yet seen the list of blogs that was being suggested as a feature once TRF had been revamped. Is this still a work in progress, Corm?

July 3, 2007 at 09:26 #105842In a word GC, yes.
July 7, 2007 at 15:53 #106507Think this is an excellent idea, Corm and will enable people to read these blogs as they are updated.
