TAPK..David beat me to the punch and he’s correct.

What’s being quoted for the Derby got to do with being a great horse? No one bar you even metioned the Derby.

Did Henry ask them to quote him for the Derby, did I, did anyone? What the bookies do has no bearing whatsover of how people view Frankel as a Guineas prospect.

Briagadier Gerard one of the greatest horse of all time never even ran in the race nor was he ever made fav for it.

You bring Henry in it as if you have some sort of respect for the man but you think you know better than he does. He has said there plenty of improvement in him as has Tom Queally.

I honestly think anyone who makes judgements an what will happen with Frankel based on what another horse did 10 year ago has a screw lose and to be Frankel matey that’s all you have to go on because the desription you gave of the horse fits closer to a donkey on Blackpool beach than it does Frankel. Sute he’s a big brute for a 2yo but there’s nothing to say he can’t be a bigger brute as a 3yo. Have you seen the size of Zenyatta, she dwarfs colts ffs.

Now we got Fallon sticking his neb in saying he’s highly strung. Didn’t know he was rding out at Henry’s every morning. Must have some eyes on him because Tom Queally is never away from the place and he reckons the horse has a great nature.

I maay not have backed him for the Guineas but it has nothing to do with how I see him progressing as a 3yo. Nothing can change the fact that was a brilliant performace he put up in the Dewhurst and he absolutely slaughtered his main rival Dream Ahead which totally justifies his current position in the 2000 Guineas market.

You know what makes me laugh? If Dream Ahead is truly his biggest rival and Frankel didn’t improve 1lb between now and the Guineas, he’s so superior to Dream Ahead he’d probably still win by 5 lengths and you’d be none the wiser.

You say Frankel"slaughtered "Dream Ahead . Fair enough. Then even though he did not win the KG Cape Blanco "slaughtered " Workforce. Now once we try to define "slaughtered" we have the problem of trying to explain why Cape Blanco is capable of "slaughterinhg" Workfore. You can follow from there yourself.

I am guessing are referring to when Cape Blanco beat Workforce weeks before the Derby? By all accounts he needed it plus the bit slipped through the horses mouth.

Can’t be the King George you are talking about as Cape Blanco never got the trip that day and he was himself slaughtered and the boats already come in on that result.

You got me beat wtf you are talking about to be honest.

    You been drinking?

Re- Frankel being hard to settle and highly strung. I’m no expert on bridling arrangements but Frankel does sport a grackle style noseband which I’m sure our better informed forumites will be able to explain the function of?

Its nothing to do with temperament i"m told, more to do with controlling its mouth,it stops a horse from opening and crossing its jaws and making control of the bit easier!

How many lengths was Cape Blanco ahead of Workforce as he passed the post second in the King George? That is the issue to which I refer. Not how far he was behind the winner. My point being that explanations must be issued for the failure of the main runners in both races ;the failure of Dream Ahead(in the Dewhurst) and of Workforce (in the KG).Both runnings can be excused.

My undertsanding is that Workforce hadn’t come to himself and went through an express tune up for the Derby. SMS didn’t have time to let him down between the Derby and the KG which would be the normal thing to do. It’s his opinion the horse was over the top in the King George.

Dream Ahead I don’t think I need repeat myself.

That is exactly my point. I am willing to accept an excuse for both horses’ poor running. Why not withhold judgement until DA runs again? Just like the Arc proved the value of waiting in Workforce’s case.
