    Why are the bookies being so fair ….your hoping something comes out during the week , scope badly , minor injury ex , if not then 10s isn’t all that big

    I think 10/1 APT coupled with the Sherwood horse is a sensible each way bet Ian. I’m normally a win only kind of guy but given what we saw from APT a degree of caution is best. Akin to not holding the hob nob in the cup of tea too long to prevent breakage and a chocolatey oatty mess at the bottom of the cup!

    I wouldn’t say 10/1 is all that big either HDLG. I just think it’s a risk worth taking that it was just a blip.

    And also worth bearing in mind that until GDC is confirmed for this (likely) then opposition to APT (credible opposition) is thin on the ground imo.

    The Gold Cup is always a tough race
    APT has been at the business end the last two years, it can take it out of them
    Rachel subjected APT to a unnecessarily drive to win by 15 lengths up the hill
    I’d be cautious betting this one for the Gold Cup

    It is difficult to blame her because I am sure the adrenaline was absolutely pumping but I wonder if she regrets it now. There was no need to win by so far.

    No explanation for the bad run makes it much more of a concern. If there is nothing physical they can treat, it might be a mental issue.

    Winning a GC takes loads out of a horse , look at Kauto , he wasn’t right the year after , Denman damaged himself doing it , I’ll be happy be honest I’m tempted to have a go with Allaho for the GC , at this point he s the best horse in it
