Got 35/1 for meanus dandy last week, had a small bet on fire and rain hoping it can recapture it’s best form.
I’m risking an ew on Fire and Rain. Need a big priced winner to recoup my Grand National losses.
I’ve done Balthazar King each way (5 places) @ 7/1 with saver (win bets) on Aimygale 8/1 and Poker De Sivola 12/1.
Value Is EverythingI’m sitting pretty with £15 on Aimigayle at 25/1, placed at the time of starting the thread, plus a top-up £10 at 10s. For me, these are pretty big bets!
I notice Triggerman won 9 days ago. Not sure what to make of this. I thought it took 4 weeks to recover from a steeplechase. On the other hand he did win so obviously he has good form.
Poker de Sivola for me,ew 5 places,a fast early pace should thin the field out,and hopefully he will finish well.

I thought he was nailed on to win the Scottish National last week, You could tell Ferdy had something in mind for this horse all season, he had a spin in a jumpers bumper around Southwell at Christmas, he wasn’t knocked about in the X Country at Cheltenham so last Saturday seemed to be the day.
Being almost brought down put paid to that so the only question would last week’s experience have put him off. Evidently not. The bookies will be reeling tonight from my £2 ew 12/1 stinger. (I’ll draw a discreet veil over the fact that I backed Balthazar King as well.)
