Hi Everyone,i am a new poster to the site and i am looking for some advise.Until December i have been using bet365 to place my lay bets ,doing very well.Unfortunately i found that one morning i went to place my usual bets to find that my account had been limited substantially, that much so that it is pointless having a bet with them.I have therefore closed my account. Is there any way i can reopen an account, what time frame can they hold my details for etc etc.I know that i can lay horses on betfair but at times bet365 wouldnt update their prices and you could many times be able to back the same horse both to lose and win and still come out winning. Its ok giving mug punters a free £200 quids worth of bets but not accepting bets from people who know what they are doing. They must log your ip address or something to stop you trying to re-register.Anyone any ideas. Thanks in advance.

I’m not able to help you with your query really I’m afraid unless a friend or relative is prepared to help you open an alternative account in their name, but presumably that account would suffer the same fate if you continued to be successful.
Betfair and Betdaq are the two obvious alternatives.
good luck!

I think he is "arbing" – laying on Betfair and backing on 365 – you can get software to work out the "arb" opportunities for you.
I did look at it but, you would need a good betting bank of £2000.00 to make it pay.

March 18, 2008 at 13:46 #152270Welcome to the world of a successful punter. The reason B365 don’t want your bets, is because you are a bad client. ie. one that does not make them money. The only way that you can get around it is by going into a B365 shop and putting cash on, or laying on the exchanges.
March 18, 2008 at 17:45 #152353Thanks for all the replies.I was actually laying the odds with bet365 and backing the same horse with bet chronicle. As you say i believe the term is arbing but there is nothing law breaking about it.If the bookies are daft enough to let horses drift then thats their own fault.Just look at that one the other day that went from 1/12 to 2/11 and fell. Its funny how they bombard you with e mails after your cash but as soon as they bar you the emails miraculously stop.Anyway all the best,i think i will see if i can get a member of the family to sign up and we will take it from there.
