Lancaster Bomber to win @ 9/1

Staying on well when 2nd to Churchill over 7F last time. A big improvement on his past form which could be taken a number of ways.

The form of the race has been franked twice and can be considered the best 2YO colt form in Europe.

Hopefully Seamie can get the fractions right and not go off too fast. If he gets an easy lead it could be very hard to peg him back.

Best of luck Botchy. Often Euro horses don’t break as well over in the States (is it the bell or do US horses all go on the “B”? Lancaster Bomber possibly needs to lead. Also raced on the favoured rail at Newmarket – probably flattered in finishing so close to Churchill imo.

Great run by Lancaster bomber. Didn’t handle the bends too well otherwise would have gone very close to winning. Dewhurst form looks pretty good now. Obviously stays well so should be interesting to see where he goes next season.

Great run from LB there. Certainly improving and has proved his Dewhurst run was not a fluke.

I would have him down as a G1 Miler with more progression. Let’s see how many more G1 horses run in the Guineas next year.

Still say Churchill is quite a bit more than 1 1/4 lengths a better horse than Lancaster Bomber.

Probably, but i’m prepared to back 33’s e/w than 6/4 Churchill at this stage. I thought myself that it may of been a fluke LB coming second to him, but he backed it up last night i feel. That was important.

He was raised 16lbs in the ratings after the Dewhurst which looked a bit crazy at the time, but probably it looks about right now.

Best of luck today Ginge :good:
