I know Artemis, but you asked what method was used by Formath to produce that rating and that was it .. or am I all mixed up ?

You were only answering my query and made no comment about the merit of the method. I have a habit of adding comments if I think they might be helpful or take the discussion forward. We’ll leave Formath to carry on his interesting thread.
posted my scatter gun selections last saturday 10 selections 6 winners not a bad start kept to the 10 race i picked earlier in the week hope to better it tomorrow but it seems to be a lot harder this week maybe trying to make a system out of a method dont know,by using the list of proability in pro,s and con,s with the star method in the close encounters of vdw kind and consistencey 1 and 2 when these converge or almost yhis is my selection hope to post them tomorrow
with areyoutalkintome,brave vision,lucifer blue,natal,and magic glade passing the mechanical part of the method classic capers,blue splash squeezing in party boss suspect on distance and fast forward,and gustavo add on to keep the line going it maybe only 5 this week,like the look of brave vision today

Kempton 3.10<br>Lucifer Bleu (15/8 lost) – down 12lbs, won 1st of 8 +11 lengths, made all, clear, mistake, eased considerably. If OK at the D should be hard to beat. Stake 3 points lost, due 9, bank 178.87<br>Lacdoudal (8/1 3rd) – same weight, 4th of 7 -27 lengths, headway, ridden, weakened. has chance if staying trip.<br>Limerick Bay (5/1) – down 2lbs, won 1st of 5 +6 lengths, mistakes, led, clear, stayed on well. Capable of a bold show.<br>Simon (11/2 won) – up 3lbs, won 1st of 10 +9 lengths, headway, blundered, stayed on well. More required here.

Stake 4 points lost, due 14, bank 174.37<br>Howrwenow (9/4 won) – down 1lb, won 1st of 8 +16 lengths, always going well, led, clear, easily. Sound jumper and interesting hcap newcomer.<br>Charlies Future (3/1 2nd) – same weight, 2nd of 10 -7 lengths (penultimate race), led, prominent, ridden, chased, no impression. Could be give another chance.

Negus De Beaumont (9/2 won) – up 3lbs, prominent, pushed aong, lost place. A hard ride dropped in class.<br>Jug Of Punch (8/1) – up 21lbs? 4th of 10 -3 lengths, chased, every chance, stayed on same pace. Vulnerable here.

The Nomad (10/1) – down 6lbs, 2nd of 9 -.5 of a length (penultimate race), left in lead, driven, held, kept on. Questions to answer.<br>Cumbrian Knight (17/2) – up 7lbs, 2nd of 14 -3.5 lengths, headway to chase, kept on to take 2nd. Going may not suit.

Stake 8pts lost, due 44, bank 148.37<br>So Cloudy (7/1) – up 1lb, won 1st of 13 +4 lengths, headway, led, blundered, shaken up, ridden clear. Should go well.<br>Basic Fact (10/3) – up 15lbs? 2nd of 10 -1.75 lengths, ridden, every chance, no extra. One to consider

(I intend to put this thread into suspended animation as it is going nowhere fast, whilst the bank is still almost 20pts to the good).

Just when the kitchen was getting hot. The next bet might have cleared off most of what is ‘due’. After all, your bank(120pts) is still intact, so why stop now?
Seriously, though, winner finding is very hard at this time of year. Perhaps you might return when the flat settles down a bit. i think your approach could do very well then.
I have opened this thread again as it is much closer to where I have evolved in 56 years of racing. It is more a disciplined method than a system really to be truthful. This time I will back more than one runner at my price to return 100 points a race, meaning some days it will be less and others we will skin the book, hopefully lol.
