Chuffed with David’s Charm there, although I thought Rachel got there plenty soon enough.
Sad to hear that connections aren’t even toying with the idea of running Apple’s Jade in either the Champion or the Stayers Hurdle though as it’s not going to be exactly thrilling seeing her rock up in the Mare’s as the long odds-on favourite.
As for the Royal Bond, I think Megli Khan’s a good horse but too many in behind ran shockers for me to hail him a star just yet and I felt the Drinmore was run strangely and don’t trust the form fully.
The bumper winner looks half decent mind, one to keep an eye on for Mags Mullins.
December 3, 2017 at 18:16 #1330211Good shout with davids charm charles i sneaked in the place with yaha fizz at 25s so was happy enough
Overall a great days racing and the first 3 races all went my way, death duty the only one to cause a little damage
Presenting percy laughed off his mark, performance of the day for mehe will be hammered for that!
Mengli khan was smashed in the betting, but i disagree regarding some running poorly, red jack was ditched by both geraghty and walsh so youd think he wasnt as good as first hoped, le richebourg tavelled well but either needed the run or didnt like the ground, early doors ran a great race and if not for the mistake would probably have been a couple lengths closer, mengli khan deserves to be fav for the supreme, hes looked a different horse this season! Overall the divison is looking quite weak, im hoping sayar/lad of luck come out over christmas and bolt up somewhere for my AP bets
I wonder what mullins will do regarding limini and lets dance, neither will be good enough to beat AJ, she hammered them senseless today, NC usually does well fresh, cilaos emery did look as though he neeeded the run but even with fitness i dont think they would have gotten near AJ
Espoir dallen looks usefull, was quite taken with that run
December 3, 2017 at 18:18 #1330212If Mengli Khan wins the Supreme then it’s a worse renewal than last year.
December 3, 2017 at 21:26 #1330237On what basis do you come to that conclusion? Because….?
I think something will come out of juveniles to challenge him certainly, but thats just assumptions, why cant a horse who won a grade 1 by 5 lengths, who beat a 140 horse by almost 20 lengths not be good enough to win a supreme?
The division as a whole is quite weak at this time of year but its still more than early enough for plenty to come out, the supreme winner usually is out later… but in more than several cases recently the winner has been out early enough labaik and altior For example…, neither had achieved what mengli khan has at this point in such impressive style?
I dont think mengli khan will win yet but thats just because inhavent seen much else, but at this point i couldnt say it would be weak if he did and without even reading your response, neither can you lol
December 3, 2017 at 21:41 #1330246Very smart performance I thought from Menghli Khan.
New my fate with Red Jack when he drifted like he did after Gerahty deserted him. A poor run and the 20s I have for the Supreme looks a poor bet now.
December 3, 2017 at 22:00 #1330255Labaik, Altior, Douvan, Champagne Fever, Cinders And Ashes, Menorah, Go Native and Captain Cee Bee had all made at least one appearance by now. Just two winners in the last decade hadn’t.
Morgan seems overrated on 140.

Yep, it was really disappointing MOM. He never looked like he was going to take a hand in things,
If it hadn’t been for the fact that he ran just 3 weeks ago, I would have said it looked like he
needed the run. I think he’s better than that, but the jury is certainly out until he shows some
of his previous promise. Looks like we’re both stuck with a 20/1 voucher for a 40/1 horse
