Second today at Tipperary.
April 17, 2010 at 21:17 #290891First winner Samuel Morse….pedigree is nothing out of the ordinary but did it well. A step up in trip should suit.
He is out of a Champion racemare in America – Eliza won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies and was runner up in the Kentucky Oaks. You have high standards.
April 18, 2010 at 15:25 #290993From this stable that the norm.
US Pedigree’s are messy in Europe….
She only ran twice and made her debut in a Group 1. Obviously the Group 1 is their but must have been exceptional crap to win it on debut.

Zoffany ran won easily today…..looks a decent sprinter for the future

Nice mover Zoffany. Might be a bit better than just a sprinter in future.
April 18, 2010 at 15:41 #291001Made Debut over 6f Chis so you could be spot on.
I never trust these early Ballydoyle 2yr olds….always seem fishy that a man who brings his babies on slowly has his good un ready this early. I like to think you can get a could guide by Trainer’s Habit

Did make a debut at Leapardstown though which is interesting…he mentioned Royal Ascot next?…Coventry?

Lump on Chis
April 18, 2010 at 15:53 #291005Eliza won 4 of her 5 starts at two including the Breeders Cup Fillies Juvenile. She won the Santa Anita Oaks (Grade 1) at three, placed third against the colts in the Santa Anita Derby (Grade 1) and was then runner up when odds on for the Kentucky Oaks. She was a top class filly in the States and was anything but normal.
As for the US pedigrees in Europe – you really need to do a bit more work before throwing around statements like that.
Zoffany should easily get 7f plus in time.

April 18, 2010 at 16:01 #291008Aidan i only used the basic enough Racing Post database they only have 2 ever runnings
. I knew the paper/website has gone down badly in recent time but now i know how much.Just not a fan of US Pedigree’s in Europe. Many Stallions have that deep shouldered Dirt Racing Style that doesn’t seem to suit the European Grass. Obviously Giants Causeway was a freak as he had that confirmation but was incredibly successful sire in America but raced and won multiple times on the Grass in Europe. Storm Cat is a stallion from America that they rave and rave about but really they have been increcibly poor in Europe. Just can’t have Dirt Pedigree’s on European Grass.
Cheers for pointing that out though…i look a right TWAT
. HEHE"I’m very happy with him. Royal Ascot could be a possibility but we’ve a good bit to go yet. We couldn’t have asked anymore of him in his maiden."
Regards Zoffany….that what the trainer says. Coventry looks the early aim….was very well backed aswell so obviously they had a bit of time for him.
