Quote: from Galejade on 5:18 pm on Jan. 11, 2007[br]Just had an update from Ron Hodges on Preacher Boy. The horse hit the 2nd last , ripped a shoe off and got an overreach. He is still badly lame. McCoy is adamant that he would otherwise have won.
Thanks for the info Galejade, i’ve been a bit hard on AP by the looks of it, hope Preacher Boy makes a quick recovery
Aragorn

It shouldn’t be and they’ve altered the rating since i’ posted to 147, which is probably a fair assessment

I think RPR’s get some unfair stick on this board. They are a lot better than some of the stuff that gets printed in that publication which passes as ‘analysis’.

Anyone think McCoy outrode Sam Thomas today? Hardly an achievement I know but is it just me that thought Chief Yeoman should of beat Buena Vista easily?
DJ, hopefully it’s seen as constructive criticism which sparks debate for those interested in such things.

    Who’s "that publication"

20f horse v 16f horse in testing ground , i’ll take the one with the extra stamina

As DJ pointed out with Silveburn above, BV simply outstayed CY, nowt to do with jockeys

    FSL,

I am not sure that McCoy outrode Thomas meaning that McCoy was outstanding – I am inclined to think that Thomas did not have his finest hour in getting Chief Yeoman organised. I agree with your implication – there is no way that Bueno Vista could beat chief yeoman again giving it 10lbs
