    Zome, some cheerleader you are!

IS THIS BECAUSE I UPSTAGED YOU ALL?! 8)

At least I came back with a theoretical Bronze medal.

Has the trophy got pride of place on the mantle piece Zome? Congratulations.

Forgot to mention, it is tradition for the winner to go on to play in the competition proper.

4/. Who rode consecutive runnings of the Racing Post Trophy aboard High Chaperal and Brian Boru in 2001/2002?

    KEVIN EFFING DARLEY!!!!

We got that one wrong too, we said George Duffield.

Next year i shall have to get myself on team then! 8) Even though i did put Martin Dwyer instead of Mark Dwyer as the jockey of Flakey Dove!

    Sorry Lekha,

    Were you there?
Had I seen your post would have looked out for you.
    You should’ve introduced yourself.

I certainly was. I said a quick hi to the TRF team but my friend and I sneaked away after the break. We were sat in the corner watching…

It’s just that you’re so unassuming, HJ. At least I had the same idea as the mighty Mr Armstrong.

“Think of our effort as that of a point-to-pointer being rushed straight into Open company after a Maiden win” I’m no further on. :?

A two year old maiden being thrust straight into a Group 3 – is that what you mean?

Alright. Remember when we published that Tommy Whittle Chase result from 1998 on here 10 days ago, the one in which Quixall Crossett took on Suny Bay, Earth Summit, The Grey Monk and Lord Gyllene with predictable consequences?

Well, we were the Quixall Crossett of the Elite Quiz last night. And, crucially, just as lovable. 8)

You did all look rather sweet sitting there looking bemused, scratching your heads, and grimacing at the flat questions.

It seems the evidence suggests we looked pretty gruesome, all told. 8)

I can not blame Mr. Armstrong as George Duffield was my pick. But they do say great minds think alike.

The reason why Weatherbys were in the multi choice quiz was that they were relegated last year for finishing last in the Elite quiz. So you are in illustrious (or should that be dubious) company.
