I’d be very much up for being involved but would probably let the side badly down, if you get caught short for numbers you know where I’ll be!!!!!!
December 17, 2008 at 01:43 #197513Just to cover my back I had to check my previous statement was in fact correct – it was (only just), and it’s on page 59 of the forum if anyone is remotely interested

Zoz finished a short-head second that day so if I’m going to be picked for the squad, I think she should too**
** thinly-veiled “maybe I won’t have to drive if she’s going as well” comment
December 17, 2008 at 01:44 #197514George V, not George VI.
Was Blue Peter’s Derby held at Newmarket?
December 17, 2008 at 01:45 #197515I should be in a position to confirm this time tomorrow night – I just need to get clearance to get out of my Day Job an hour or so earlier to give me time enough to take on the M4 at rush-hour (and win).

Oh, that was in the 40s. You’ve caught me out. There must be another Derby winner with a BBC Children’s Television name.
December 17, 2008 at 01:51 #197523Double damn, I’m wrong twice. 1939. I’ll shut up and go away

Please God come along, the pair of you – the outer peripheries of my ignorance may be reached far too quickly otherwise!

December 17, 2008 at 02:16 #197533If there are 8 TRF’ers wanting to enter I could ask whether we could enter two teams.

Value Is EverythingDecember 17, 2008 at 03:01 #197542Given the baby-sitting situation, I think it’s wiser if the sharper of the HJ household brains attends – I shall gracefully step down. I shall be available in the event of a phone-a-friend option.
December 17, 2008 at 04:16 #197556Would love to take part but with my works situation a bit up in the air at the moment I can’t commit to much at all at this stage.
December 17, 2008 at 04:25 #197557Great stuff lads (and lasses) – be great to have TRF represented (especially if you can win – if you do there’ll be a drink for you all at Cheltenham)
December 17, 2008 at 04:25 #197558I’d probably be up for it, other commitments permitting.
December 17, 2008 at 15:22 #197611Well then if I can pal up with HJ and Graysons in a team in the event of there being two TRF teams, I’m very much up for the challenge.
If I turn out to be useless I can be the one who goes to the bar
December 30, 2008 at 21:56 #200457TRF has now got a team together,
Consisting of Jeremy (GraysonsColumn), Happy Jack, Zoz and Rory.
If there is enough for another team I could ask the WBRC if two teams can enter.

Value Is EverythingJanuary 17, 2009 at 08:25 #204592Good luck to the guys
Knew the answers to some of the flat questions but had to guess about half of them. Got caught out by 1,5 and 9 on the jumps but the rest were kind of easy. Could have swore Right Hand Man won the Welsh National.
Bet you 10,000 quid to a can of coke "H" wasn’t caught out by the 1966 National
January 21, 2009 at 19:38 #205585Jeremy, Rory, Happy Jack and Zoz.
Don’t forget the quiz is tonight.Mark
