One would have thought ballet dancers held the edge after Nijinsky and Nureyev, but Baryshnikov was a let down and Darcey Bussell only a modest winner.
On a similar vein then – and as 33-1 is a big price for a Gimcrack/Middle Park winner – maybe we should all be on Astaire to upset Australia in the Guineas?

Damn, well spotted, thought I had that angle-in all to myself
Been quietly backing Astaire all winter and should he win I’ll be putting on my top hat, tying up my white tie, brushing off my tails, dudeing up my shirt front, putting in the shirt studs and polishing my nails
