    @mimrob

    I see that

    Menadati

    has an entry on the

    27th

at Lingfield in a class 6 handicap, I still have him

    15lb

better than my class 6 par of

    58

    :D

It was nice to see Amy Weaver’s

    Sandy lane

just win at 3/1, who I had as a

    +19

improver, I occasionally get something right :D

    Can

    Menadati

who I had pencilled in as a steering job on his next run, get beaten in the 1.50 Lingfield tomorrow 27/12/12

Looking at my speed figures for the race, I ended up with these.

    Menadati

    comes out as a

Working out the going allowance for today’s meeting took some thought, it didn’t help matters that the best race on the card the 4.15 which was (class 2) handicap, was flag started and run at a modest pace

Looking at the speed figures returned for the first 3 home in 4.45, made me think that my going allowance for today’s meeting at

    +0.28

per furlong, should have been slightly higher, in the end I could not justify raising it further 8)

My form figures have the race looking like this. The figures are from the horses last run. The figures in brackets are the highest of their last six races. Menadati can defintely be rated higher for its last run.
Menadati has Catlin on board today, he is 11-81 for Hiatt at Lingfield and 7-42 when the yard have just the one runner..
    Plenty 6/1 about this morning.

    Improver to note was

    Sandy Lane +8

    (3.10 Wolverhampton)

What can I say about Amy Weaver’s

    Sandy Lane

who sits in the Improver’s list at

    +19

    ,

    +16

    and now

    +8

, a return to 7f will see him in better light :D

The year is coming to an end and I have resigned myself to the fact that it is very unlikely that I will ever record a going allowance on a

    Polytrack

    surface riding

    standard to slow

It was already pointed out to me by a board member, you have to go back to

    December 2010

the last time the going allowance at Wolverhampton was

    standard to slow

    , which I recorded at

    -0.17

    per furlong 8)

So there you have it, Wolverhampton Polytrack today was riding

    46lb

per furlong faster than it was in December 2010

How’s that for a useless piece of info :D

Good work Blues Brother. Coup De Grace was a nice winner for your figures yesterday. Though he had only achieved 54, he was well clear of his field last night at Kempton. Interesting to note he only needed to achieve 46 last night to win.

    Hittin’The Skids

who I gave a special mention to the other day when landing a touch, was well and truly turned over by

How do you manage to get your ratings updated so quickly. I spend ages on my form figures though I am almost doing them by hand save for a couple of macros. :?

All I use is a macro in Excel and then add to Excel table the official ratings plus my lbs. per length figures etc. to calculate the going allowances 8)

When I have entered my speed figures into my account on the Racing Post’s website using the handicap tool, I then copy and paste the speed figures using another macro into an Excel sheet, I don’t type anything 8)
