Nice spot. She definitely ticks the experience box and flat experience will help on the new course. She’s done 3 miles on good. Will keep an eye out for her on the weekend.
January 31, 2019 at 13:48 #1394395Mike, it might not be right + to be fair i quite like Derrinross + Kateson for this anyway….and they have the necessary experience.
Just don’t think i’ll stick a line through some like i would’ve in past years.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 31, 2019 at 15:51 #1394405I agree with CNC about Dinons – i like the experience, the proven form on decent ground…
The price is amazing, provided he’s not injured
January 31, 2019 at 18:41 #1394415The fact Dinons was beaten 30Ls Lto and hasn’t been seen since would be a slight concern, unless a quote is released to confirm fitness.
I’d be disappointed if he’s good enough, but a good price all the same.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 31, 2019 at 19:05 #1394417Did you watch that race ?
I’m assuming he picked up a minor injury and is being freshened up for a Spring campaign where valuable handicaps on suitable ground are also an option
January 31, 2019 at 19:16 #1394420Yeah i did at the time, but i see what you’re meaning, i forgot about the horse falling and impeding him rather than him finishing out with the washing with a potential injury.
Still stands to me that unless i heard something i wouldn’t be certain of his wellbeing- every chance he’s been entered up in case he comes back with no hiccups…Unlikely we’ll hear much about him anyway, as he isn’t a “stable star” and no interviewer will ask about him which is annoying.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 31, 2019 at 20:18 #1394427Any new about Dinons? I also backed him after his autumn runs. Kinda worrying he hasn’t been seen since that unlucky run.
February 1, 2019 at 12:58 #1394541Interesting thoughts on Pleasure Dome, WJ. Ruby booked to ride on Sunday….
February 1, 2019 at 13:16 #1394571Cheers, green. Happy to see her in the 3 miler as I have nibbled a little bit at decent prices on the exchanges for this.
February 6, 2019 at 17:03 #1395297I’m on Dinons for any race after his rout at Cheltenham months ago.
I’m not confident he’s good enough for this though.
February 6, 2019 at 19:16 #1395304They may well have earmarked him for a handicap
The landscape of these races is constantly changing for the bigger yards.
February 6, 2019 at 21:21 #1395313Dinons features on Gordon Elliott’s fourth lot today with some very interesting horses. It would appear he hasn’t been forgotten at all

Not a bad 4th lot in Cullentra this morning, up the straight gallop. Vid to follow pic.twitter.com/jyvoU5LtR6February 15, 2019 at 16:30 #1397501I’m hoping and expecting Kateson to win nicely tomorrow in the trial at Haydock, also picking up the 3m experience which is needed for the AB.
Only Cheltenham entry is in this and 25/1 NRNB still available with 365.
February 15, 2019 at 21:32 #1397535Elliot confirmed Dinons Is heading here on his Twitter Q&A
February 16, 2019 at 00:30 #1397570No bet for me so far in this at the moment, did have Stay Humble, but cashed in a long time ago. It wasn’t the biggest bet anyway, and I’d be reluctant to have too big a punt now either, but like Wooly, I also like Kateson at the 25’s, while one of his rivals tomorrow, Geordie B, looks big at 40’s. Galvin is another who could head here, but he could have other options.
Shortlist
Galvin 40’s
Geordie B 40’s
Kateson 25’s -
