That was a truly explosive performance. Could be early to say but this filly may be the new Black Caviar. Cannot wait to see her again.

Well done Steve hope you had a good bet on her, 2/1 was a fantastic price and what acceleration, really impressive. Looks like we are going to have many more coming over next year and must say its exciting to see how they cope on the straight track and without the Lasix, nasal strips etc.

Wonder if she’ll stay on for the July Cup at Newmarket, would love to see her in the flesh.

You’ve been pretty nigh spot on with your research on the French Connection and the USA scene.
Backed Usherette today as I wasn’t going to let her go under the radar after dismissing her in favour of Arabian Queen in the Dhalia at Newmarket LTO. When Mr. Fabre has says she’s the best he’s trained then we should all sit up and pay attention.

Really enjoying all the racing at RA win or lose especially with every single race on TV, wonder if ITV will do the same when they take charge. anyway WELL DONE STEVE and the flying Lady Aurelia :rose: Jac

Thanks Jac, I was going to back Usherette at 5/1 but when I went into my local shop she’d shortened to 4/1. I hummed and hawed overnight about it before deciding to take the 4/1, only to find she had shortened again. It ended up like that until I got to the stage where I just decided to leave it, so I just watched her win unbacked.

She was impressive today, very worthy and cosy winner.

In the Sandringham I had been looking a Marenko long term but her previous win wasn’t working at all well. She had been 8/1 favourite early. Then one day I checked the betting and Persuasive was the new 7/1 favourite. Wish I had taken that but in the end I just didn’t touch the race and Persuasive was a well backed and comfy winner.

The fillies seem to have stood out this week and I am hoping Jet Setting can keep that up, as I backed her at 4/1 for the Coronation. I had read that Ballydoyle and Nemoralia were unlikely on the soft and felt I would beat SP with 4/1.

I did Carry On Deryck and then did Librisa Breeze at 12/1 once the rain came in the Hunt Cup. Thought for a moment Librisa Breeze might do it but he ran really well for a horse who won at Wolverhampton last time and I think he might be a decent sort for Dean Ivory and he travelled into the race really well today.

Good luck for the rest of the meeting Jac.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

No they aren’t, but are eligible for the Nunthorpe and Abbaye

In the ’90s Lyric Fantasy won the Queen Mary and Nunthorpe

Thanks to everyone, this has been one of my best Royal Ascots.

I had Hawkbill at 7/1 and Primitivo 13/2 (Nap) today. I also did Peace Envoy at 8/1 today and Garcia at 14/1.

Peace Envoy ran well and I thought he might place at one stage. I felt Global Applause was too short on this ground. I was surprised to see Robert Cowell bag the winner but glad for him as a “niched” trainer of older sprinters.

Garcia disappointed me and Chief Whip easily reversed form with him from their previous meeting. Hannon’s horse will catch a break at some time this year and he is a good sort.

Ante-Post I have got Cuff 4/1, Cheikeljack 20/1, Jet Setting 4/1, The Tin Man 12/1, Almodovar 12/1 and Best Of Times 7/1.

If I get a couple more winners I’ll be delighted and Cheikeljack in particular. His win from Ribchester in the Prix Djebel looked good to me and even more so since Ribchester was 3rd in the 2000 Guineas and won the Jersey Stakes.

Sometimes, even people who can’t read form, don’t understand sectionals and write their post race analysis to suit what they said before the race, can actually get winners. Marvellous, thank **** for Luck. I don’t mean Nick.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
