TAPK are you going to give Magnanimity 1 more chance in the JLT? 6th in it last year off 3 pounds higher mark and in my opinion in a lot better form this year, could this finally be his big pot? Or will he go somewhere else? At 20/1 NRNB i don’t really mind either way,i’m going to chance a few coppers

    Bloody

    Magnanimity

hasn’t won a race for 2 yrs Fran, now I’d forgive him that if I saw an inkling of willingness about him wanting it.Unfortunately he’s cost me over the years and he I’m sad to say certainly doesn’t do the prestige of the RSA any good, that was the last good race he ran imo So No I certainly wont be backing him prior to the ‘JLT’! Knowing the rogue like I do though,I’ll be keeping an eye on him in running as he is so predictable,a couple of mistakes and he’s chuckin the towel in,if I see a glimmer of his eyecatching RSA run I’ll be pressing the Bet in running button though.20/1 still seems generous if you can forgive him more than 10 times mate……………

You would need to get around 3 or 4 shops quickly to get that incredible price rich and to a max of £70 it would have been difficult,my nearest Hills is 15 miles away and as my online account wouldn’t take a £100,I left it at that,5/1 is still generous for a horse with his reputation mind!

    Ginge…
According to ‘Oddschecker’ Billys are NRNB re. Jezki 7/1…

Apparently it is just a "special offer" Richtheram. You are correct, Hills are nrnb on the Supreme, I missed that. Didn’t expect it when it’s one of only 4 races, the others being the big three; Champion Hurdle, World Hurdle and Gold Cup being NRNB. Presumably it’s something to do with them sponsering the Supreme. Nothing more to it. Though I am still a little skeptical of Jezki’s soundness looking at betfair.

I dont see anything in it Ginge, the horse is too high profile for anything to have gone wrong with his preparation and nobody leaking it out.Good to see John Gosden keeping punters informed on why ‘Trade Commissioner’ misses the Lincoln,he would normally have waited till the last minute before pulling him out!

I dont like to see any horse ruled out of a race at the last minute Grimes as I know only too well from an Ante-Post perspective it can be a kick in the teeth.

    Imperial Commander

was a good horse to me but there was no way I could have him as a 12yo Gold Cup winner.

Just seen Ladbrokes have cut George Vancouver for the 2,000 Guineas. He is now 12’s with them but still 25’s with B365! Not sure Laddies think he’ll be a pacemaker Gord!

I remember joining this forum several years ago now as GWilson77 and being quite opinionated I perhaps

    forcefully

    suggested

    Albertas Run

as a Gold cup horse,he was a novice at the time and boy did I get the wrath of the clique on here back then.Today I read in the Racing Post a tribute to the great horse and Jonjo too thought exactly the same thing! 8) Having backed

    Albertas Run

Ante-Post for the 2009 Gold cup I put him up on here and again was ridiculed,’Kauto Star’ firmly put him in his place and continued to do everytime they met. However I had got it in my head that the 2010 Ryanair was the perfect target for ‘Albertas’ even though he was now doing the King George/Gold cup route so I started backing him at 90’s on the machine then 75’s right down to 25/1 then to his SP which even on the day screamed value at 14/1.He won me a 5 figure sum that day and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve achieved that in 30 yrs of betting.Obviously it was only right to change my forum name to something far more appropriate, hence TAPK.’Albertas’ only went and followed up the year after and I still got 20’s down on him then thanks to him being pulled up in ‘Long Runs’ King George, last year I stood to win a lot more on

    Medermit

in the Ryanair but jumping the last my voice was hoarse cheering ‘Albertas’ home only to be pipped by that bloody ‘Riverside Theatre’ a horse I still haven’t forgiven for robbing us of a 3 timer. If

    Albertas Run

does turn up next week in the Ryanair he’ll let them all know he’s still got it,trouble is I have backed a horse I rate very highly, right up there with ‘Albertas’ and thats

    First Lieutenant

,Geez if those 2 jump the last together………..

Between me and you Joni whoever Ladbrokes employ as their Odds compilers make Benny from Crossroads look clever, they have always had ‘George’ on side so its no great shakes that he’s 12/1,he’d been 14/1 for 6 weeks whereas

    Cristoforo Colombo

    has been on a rollercoaster ride,33/1,20/1 14/1,33/1,25/1,20/1,16/1,14/1,12/1,8/1.
I know which horse is the better but he really does need fast ground,if its not he wont even run and thats not a good thing from an Ante-Post perspective, not with the weather we get these days.Good Luck with your horse though,he’ll win the French Guineas!

Gord why you think GEORGE VANCOUVER win the french guineas when that is where OYLMPIC GLORY will end up. he will miss Newmarket that is why he went to France because they think he will not handle the dip at Newmarket. That is what i think

Also any thoughts on GALAXY ROCK in Kim Muir and if it stays good ground how about SEA OF THUNDER in 4m race.

This years 2000gns at Newmarket will involve the first 3 home in the Coventry darren,I respect ‘George Vancouver’ but his profile is that of an exposed sort imo. There’s certainly no reason as to why he should reverse the Dewhurst form, that form though is good enough to win a French 2000gns.I like ‘Galaxy Rock’ but i prefer

    Alfie Sherrin

    for the Kim Muir myself.Now

    Sea of Thunder

was probably my biggest dissapointment of last years Festival,he was certainly front rank in my Army but the jurys out on him currently.
