February 18, 2013 at 07:53 #429918Morning Gordie, just a quick hello whilst chomping on my coco pops.
Apart from the first part of the reply which was entirely predictable, i thought overall you were quite restrained, even had me thinking you`d taken a humility tablet for a moment!!
Yeah, sorry about not reading your post concerning Somersby BEFORE the event, as you know i`ve pinged you in the past for after timing and i now seem to have done it myself, but to be fair had i seen it before, i would have commented as it was so obvious. Bit like tipping Bobs Worth for the Royal Hunt Cup really, although the issue wouldn`t be stamina there now would it?
Still, onwards and upwards, have you had a look at The Betfair Chase at Kempton on Saturday yet, be interested in your thoughts as an Ante Post specialist?
Meanwhile keep those lays coming.

Softie dear boy there’s only one horse who I’d really like to run on Saturday in the big race at Kempton and thats
Wishful Thinking
,I honestly believe he’s tailor made for it plus Mr Hobbs does love a tilt so the question you have to ask yourself is "Do I risk taking 38’s on the machine" about what will be an 8/1 shot if he runs or does the fact that both his stable companions
Menorah
,32’s and
Captain Chris
,24’s trading shorter put you off.All 3 are better than handicappers but I can see one of them running, hopefully the aptly named
Wishful thinking
! You could of course back all 3!
February 18, 2013 at 12:33 #429944Menorah next year’s Grand National you heard here first.
Bookmaker offer so far is £100 @ 250/1.

You have as much idea of horses Moley as I have of Gay Sex! Even his lass Shelley Griffiths knows
Menorah
cant bloody jump for toffee! Enough said!
February 18, 2013 at 14:36 #429967Gord, I tried Pm’ing you but it says requested user does not exist.
Nothing important just thought I would give you the preview of that episode of the undateables you were on about the other day, the one with Ginger and the blind girl.

Hmmm, i`m thinking you must have a hotline to the Whateleys, as they own all of those 3.
Sadly all bunked off at the 6 day stage tho` so probably leaves the way clear for Rolling Aces and Nichols being a Saturday and all that. Shan`t get involved at this stage now though.

I looked at
Quantitativeasing
this morning Softie,he was 20/1 with 40 decs and I thought to myself he wont stand his ground with Cheltenham round the corner.Blow me down he’s in the last 14 and is now the 25/1 outsider!! No way will he go off that price if he runs!
February 18, 2013 at 16:33 #429982Happy days, Mr Hendo has declared PR will run in the Grand Annual, has plot written all over it! Sure he will have schooled very well and will have a nice 7lb claimer up top
February 18, 2013 at 17:47 #429987Gord: how about a nice EW double with Malcolm’s 2 festival winners from last year? Ataglance loves the hill and runs on day one in the Centenary and Cape Tribulation who we know is very well and we know gets up the hill, place double at 12s and 33s sounds OK to me
February 18, 2013 at 20:19 #429999Neither running tomoz, I fancy one in the first though

This was the man who told us with certainty that MTOY needed at least 2m 5f!
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
February 18, 2013 at 21:19 #430007Moley your posts suggest that you are a bit of a WUM, I mean the Guineas a more exciting race than the National?! Come off it…if Menorah ever won the National, I will gladly pay the rest of your mortgage for you

Yes Gary,I can see both placing there myself,I cant see anything at Wetherby tomorrow though that would tempt me to empty my Piggy bank!
Talking of the ‘Centenary’ ifCarlito Brigante
gets confirmed for it his price will halve,he is the Handicap good thing of the whole meeting imo!
February 18, 2013 at 22:35 #430016Ok cheers mate
February 18, 2013 at 22:49 #430017Been a bit out of the loop with the racing world having spent a week in the french alps. Anyway, we are another week closer and i’m sure there are plenty more twists and turns on the antepost rollercoster before game time!!
One that i am relieved about is MTOY’s sticking with the novice route. Sensible option and i’m looking for to a Champion Hurdle campain in 2014! 66/1 could seem utterly ridiculous in just over 12 months time.
I’m a lot more comfortable with Boston Bob having a second run under his belt. Surely Willie Mullins only has one race in mind, especially as im convinced Dynaste will go down the Jewson route. Your Captain may have his work cut out Gord!
I didnt see Celestial run at the weekend but reading between the lines it was a creditable run. Will he line up in The World Hurdle….im trying to think of other options?
Anyway its time to really start getting stuck into these handicaps…..3 hard weeks of form checks!! OR simply jump on the JP band wagon!
